Aix
2 Level 1 monsters When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack, and if you do, if that monster is an Xyz Monster, this card gains ATK equal to the Rank of that monster x 500. Seems like an actually decent Rank 1 for once. Was just browsing the new cards on DN.
Azuh
Rank 1s can now beat down monsters instead of playing defensive which is nice. Its probably the second best Rank 1 we have

goddamnit names are a pain
Why do I want to run this in my Yusei or TG build with things like Token Christmas? Just cuz it would mess with the opponent? Maybe cuz it covers me when I already have Formula in the grave?
Sleepy
The boost is permanent, so this have a lot of beatstick potential. Especially with those Rank 7s being currently not uncommon. Seems Double-Up Chance misses the timing, sadly.
玄魔の王
Names Rank 1s. Doesn't name 83 or Dullahan. Dullahan I agree, but I'd say 54 edges out 83. 83 has a neat trick, but 54 is a Yubel, and one of the few Rank 1s who can be used offensively. As for this little guy... I wish he always gained ATK per the opponent's Rank per the anime, because then he punishes decks like D-Rulers by becoming a 4k beater. That said, I love how he works, and his Rank 1 status coupled with his title have given me a lot of symbolish fuel.

Because Stein. So it definitely deserves mention, even if it is a niche use. It'll surely find more and more homes with time, and is a good car as a standalone. I'm my experience with the deck it's fairly rare.

It's not rare, just wasteful. It's not even wasteful when you're in the position to make it. If you spend a game stalling with Specter and Lantern (Note: This was pre-LVAL), and all you have otherwise is a Stein, Galaxy Queen can really help you make plays with her piercing. And it's Ghostricks. You shouldn't have too much trouble out-advantaging the opponent.

My games have all been "stall until Jiangshi nets me a win, or get trampled before I had a chance to do anything".
