Note that Flip is now akin to being a Tuner in the OCG. Also that we'll get a Genbu and a Suzaku to go along with the Vandra and Terriger we already have. heraldry_lord
It should have been a sub-Type a long time ago, but better late than never. Also it's a Man-Eater Bug, which is nice.

Sleepy
Yeah, I don't see why "Summoner" is part of the name. Also, the word FLIP was good enough. It's an activation condition and it was understood what a "FLIP" was. Besides, Konami started doing pseudo FLIPs at some point, NOW they want to pamper it? Sleepy
Now that effects are numbered, and there is an increasing amount of FLIP cards that have effects outside of being flipped, they did it for the sake of simplicity on their part. The numbering on effects is not really an excuse to make such changes though. And they still have to put "When this card is flipped face-up" at the start of that one effect and/or point out which effect is the flip one in some way. There wasn't really a more simple way to write them than just the word FLIP at the start and the ENTER key at the end of that effect, personally speaking. Though to be fair, FLIP deserves sub-type status way more than Toons ever did, so it's not like I am saying I "hate" like the change.
Toffee.
Considering 'FLIP' is now a Sub-type, this gives them an excuse to make cards with effects like 'Add 1 FLIP monster to your hand' and what-not.

It wasn't really per say an impossibility though.
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Considering 'FLIP' is now a Sub-type, this gives them an excuse to make cards with effects like 'Add 1 FLIP monster to your hand' and what-not. That won't be able to add 99% of existing Flip monsters to your hand... -_- Unless they errata and re-release every Flip monster in exist or have to word this as 'any FLIP monster or monster with flip in its card text'. Which if it's going to do that, it would have been simpler to leave as was. Also don't like this idea of numbering effects. Looks tacky.
Maeriberii Haan
It's OCG only~ At least for now.
Slinky
if its erratad to have flip in its card text, that could easily go wrong. as the word "flip" could appear in many different forms through the thousans of cards available. such as the fake flips like Snowmaneater

evilfusion
It's the OCG's equivalent of PSCT. The TCG will most likely continue using their form of PSCT without tweaking the Flip Effects in a weird way.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Is there anything that makes this better than Snowman Eater? Well, it has Spellcaster status, and that's about it.
Goose
I guess people don't run Rai-Oh/Sabersaurus much anymore which slightly weakens the benefit of Snowman Eaters DEF. Maybe this will actually see play.
Slinky
Is there anything that makes this better than Snowman Eater? it can target facedowns and has better stats than man-eater. Snowman still seems to trump it though

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Since the OP broke, the wiki seems to have the image as well: You have to host the images if you don't want them to die. Do not hotlink them from the wiki or other sites. The image is constantly replaced and lost. It took me 23 seconds to host it, and now it's going to stay. Toffee.
I tend to forget that the wiki goes at war with itself over who hosts the actual image.
