Canadian
We've had this discussion before, but that was then and this is now. What do you think would change if you could Normal Summon monsters in Face-Up Defense position? What cards would become better? What cards would be abusable? Discuss. Zauls
The inevitable: Really though I doubt it would make all that much difference. It would make Banisher of the Light better than Banisher of the Radiance but that's just about all I can think of.

Darj
Normal Summon Black Salvo, Debris Dragon, Mythic Tree Dragon, etc. safely in Defense Position to avoid battle damage if their effects are negated.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Would not impact anything about the game. Like, at all.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Cardcar D would get a lot better. You could just summon it in defense to avoid the pain that is having it get wrecked in battle after being veiler'd
Suibon
If nothing else, it's one change that I can get behind, whether or not it makes the creep even creepier (it wouldn't -- probably why Konami hasn't gone ahead and changed the rules in favor of Normal Summoned Defense Position monsters). goddamnit names are a pain
It really wouldn't do much. Other than make people use Flip effects wrong somehow.
Canadian
Yeah it would be cool if you could Flip Summon into DEF Mode as well.

Well that was my beef with Morphing Jar 2 who is now banned soo.....

Sleepy
IDK about this change. I like the risk part of it regardless of how much of an impact it could or could not represent. It wouldn't harm anyone and things could get more defensive and last a bit longer, but at the same time it's just something I'd like to see stay. Neutrality Man
Library Exodia just got 2000 points of security.
Catterjune
Gadgets would probably like it. Except Green Gadget, I guess. I can't really imagine too many decks would receive that big a boost, except for like... crappy decks and barely meta cards that no one plays anyway.
