Ryusei the Morning Star Posted August 11, 2014 Report Share Posted August 11, 2014 Only bad turbo builds were running it; after the meta was defined at ACS to be Rulers/Tellars/Shaddolls, the OCG drifted away from the Creator Needlebug build. Overall this list does nothing to the OCG meta except "kill" Rulers and eliminate one card in the Shaddoll Main Deck. I think Rulers will still be live though, seeing as they're at 2, babies are at 1 and Seven Star Swords is now at 3; granted they won't be the powerhouse they were but I think they'll still be competitive. W8 say what? Rulers are at 1 Babies at 0 Rejuv at 1 Card Des at 1 Sword at 3 Sarc at 1 Ravine at 1 Shrine at 1 Debris at 3 that's where rulers stand.... It's pay 5000 to either win on the spot or lose to a card that's currently terrible in the OCG gamestate just as the TCG Gamestate, at least G1. You make either Exterio for no S/T for them ever, Last Warrior from Another Planet to lock out all summons, or Cyber Twin Dragon for massive damage and likely OTKing. Just because it's inconsistent doesn't mean it's good for the game or a healthy move. If we look at febuary where stein was first freed from the list we notice two thing For about a week gadget gears ran the card for t1 exterio, then they realize a breed of cards called monsters could eat exterio. 5k is HUGE...that magnitude of Lp is what balances cards like charge and stein. That aside the game has evolved past the point where 5k for exterio is in anyway good. Last has always been shit. In a gamestate without Xyz and without more generally useful cards to steal. Goyo did get worse. It coming back adds an element to the game, though I'm not sold it's a healthy one. One has 4000 ATK and pierces, the other swings for 2 attacks and easily wins games. I'm pretty sure the card is win or lose, which is one of the greater issues with it. It's a really freaking bad card design. And what do you mean "nobody ever would summon a 4K beater" Like…WHYYYYY I don't know half these people on this thread but I'm pretty sure they were either just stupid or sarcastic. This bolded text is what reallllly makes no freaking sense. I'm pretty sure the godang card can OTK. Pretty darn sure. Not always, but still a ridiculous amount of damage. Posted August 15, 2014 Report Share Posted August 15, 2014 ITT: Cards are totally acceptable if they are sacky as shit, because we are playing the luck card, on the grounds that having a 1/40 card that can/will lead to broken/unfair/etc moves is totally inconsistent and everyone will totally have an out to such a card, because nobody in their right mind would pay 5K if it meant you could shut down 2/3 of the Opponent's Deck, and just win with whatever backrow you had leftover.
