1 "Shaddoll" monster + 1 FIRE monster
Must first be Fusion Summoned. When your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s), if you have a "Shaddoll" card in your hand: You can negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy it, then send 1 "Shaddoll" card from your hand to the Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "El Shaddoll Egrystal" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Shaddoll" Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.

I think that, given how he looks golden/brown here, and in Saqliphoth that same body is dead, that Egrystal itself was sacrificed, not Cairn.

And from the looks, I'd assume that Roots, with its attribute changing, changed Cairn into Fire and incinerated him, seeing as the fire armor on its body looks phantasmal next to the body underneat.

Also it's like the only qliphoth out the deck has.

I think '"melted" is more appropriate word, considering he is basically on fire.

Also, safe to say Crystal has a hard life.
I mean, goes from being overworked, to having a hand in the Shadolls, to being utterly burnt to death, only for his to remains to be used by the Qliphs.
(That is correct, right? I might be off)

This is how I see it: After Caingorgorn released Shadollroots and thus Shaddolls, Roots, most likely ordered by Nephilim, turned the fallen body of Caingorgorn into Egrystal in order to release the Gem-Knight cores within and power up the Qliphoths, who were also released by Shaddolls and would later be used by Nephilim to become into Shekhinaga.

Midrash appearing in the background could be seen as a hint of her approaching the Sacred Tree to release Qliphoths while the Gem-Knight cores are being awakened/activated, for both to be ready at the same time.

Really, upon close inspection, the DT story just keeps getting more exciting.

From what I'm seeing, nephilim is madara, Egrystal/Cain is Obito, Midrash is zetsoo, Killer is Shinju, and Sophia is Kaguya. Watch as in the next set, Midrash screw over nephilim's plan.

What? That kinda makes sense.

EDIT: Addendum, the Gem Knights are Bijuu, since they got screwed over and got collected into a gigantic structure and having a connection with the "Shinju".
