U.A. Stadium DEUA TCG

Recommended Posts

Seems good on paper, but we won't know for sure until we actually know the effects of the monsters.

U.A. (Not actually labeled which) - Rare
Warrior/L 5/ 2300/700
When a U.A. Monster (except {U.A.???}) is destroyed by battle; you can Special Summon this card (form the hand). You can only use this effect of {this UA} once per turn. When this card declares an attack; your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.

Rare
Is lv5, has 1500 attack and 2500 defense. You can return another UA monster to special from hand. Once per turn when a card or effect is activated, you can discard a card to negate the card or effect and destroy it. Can only be used during opponent's turn.

Were mentioned with Stadium before, which is here, so.

Looks like these guys will be very offensively oriented Rank 5 players, by the looks of them. Any idea what U.A. actually stands for? Between these and DDs, Konami seems to have an acronym fetish lately.

They're that archtype used by that one-off character in ZeXal during the World Duel Carnival; he was the first duelist Yuma faced off against. This field originally just flipped face-down monsters into face-up attack and whatnot.

The Ultimate Athletes were Level 5 monsters, and their boss was a Rank 5 who required three mats and could attack multiple times.

I really hope you're joking.

Because I hated that guy.

Umm... no they're not. Only one of the soccer (or notAmerican football) guy's main deck monsters were level 5 (Top Scorer), the other two were level 4, although their levels were increased to 5 through card effects. (Defending Sweeper through its own effect, and Wing Captain's was increased through a spell card effect)

These guys are a completely different series/archetype altogether.

I wish they called them by their actual name except by shortening it to UA. Looks odd

Totally related- I felt the same thing about Tech Genus

I like that this field spell is at least trying compared to other field spells

Not much for me to comment on yet because I haven't seen the whole thing in action yet, but I like what it does.
