The Necloth of Unicore

Level 4|WATER|Spellcaster|Ritual|Effect

You can Ritual Summon this card with any "NeclothRitual Spell Card. Must be Ritual Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. You can discard this card, then target 1 "Necloth" card in your Graveyard, except "The Necloth of Unicore"; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "The Necloth of Unicore" once per turn. The effects of all monsters on the field that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck are negated.

ffs, busted effect is busted

It is pretty much a pseudo Skill Drain that also says "Hi, you know that ritual spell I just used? Well... its back.."

Other important things to note:

IT DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME RESTRICTION AS BRIO AND TRISH. (IE: You CAN tribute a level 4 for it)

EDIT: Also, don't know about you, but that weapon he is holding is sooooo amazing looking.

This card is amazing.

I find interesting how, despite being based on a LIGHT monster, it is still WATER; I was more or less expecting the Ritual Monsters having the same Attribute as the monsters their armors come from.

Also, could this guy be Avance? It has white hair, a purple cloak and red & white clothes. Or at least, if the DT storyline pulled a time-skip, Sorcerer is Avance and this guy is a direct descendant of him. Most likely the latter considering that Necloth Sorcerer has the same stats as Avance, plus the wikia points out that both have the same Gishki sword.

For the record, Unicore was also a monster that was corrupted by the Verz (Thanatos), and someone here stated that Necloths are related to the Verz somehow, so most likely they are taking armors only from former Verz monsters.

I thought as much as well. That said, here's a checklist:

  • Worm Zero
  • Evilswarm Castor
  • Locomotion R-Genex
  • Genex Controller
  • Daigusto Falcos
  • Ally of Justice Catastor
  • Gem-Knight Emerald
  • Gishki Shadow
  • Naturia Cosmobeet
  • Laval Cannon
  • Jurrac Titano
  • Mist Valley Apex Avian
  • Dragunity Aklys
  • Neo Flamvell Origin
  • Constellar Rasalhague
  • XX-Saber Boggart Knight
  • The Fabled Unicore √
  • The Fabled Ragin
  • Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier √
  • Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
  • Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier √

Still waiting to see how these guys fit into the whole sylvans/tellarknights/shadolls/qliphort war.

Yesss
My written card will actually have some legitimacy again
Also is that avance wearing the armor? If it is, that's interesting, because right now it's speculated that Necloth Sorcerer is avance.

It could likely be Avance's son.  It's also searchable by Necloth Sorcerer.

All the Rituals shaping up to be WATER, it would appear, not just the IB Drags... Scary indeed.

The Graveyard recovery is a great discard eff, and psuedo-Skill Drain on legs means this is going to be feared first turn play, similarly to Midrash. Though 2300 isnt exactly a difficult body to run over, even without ED effects, and it can of course be destroyed by other effects.

After looking at the list of the Verz monsters, I wish we get Necloths of Titano or Locomotion. Now that I think about it, Trishula restricts you from using Level 9s as Ritual Material, so perhaps there will be other Level 9 Necloths, and coincidentally both Titano and Locomotion are Level 9.

Especially because both would look badass.

All I know is that Avance is like my favorite and this dude looks like Avance AND Unicore, which is the funnest fable, and so I'm super into it. Super, SUPER into it.

EDIT: FUCK DOUBLE POST

This is card really neat~
And the ART. Hnnng. That spear looks badass and the Unicore cloth isn't too shabby, either.

Since it recycles the Spell and negates the Extra Deck monsters' effects, I feel like it would be run at 2-3. Can't wait to see  more of the non-ritual Necloths.
