Reinforcement of the Army

Recommended Posts

Raigeki to 1 was smarter than this. And that's saying something. That's because this definitely will have an impact.

Warriors are some of the most flexible monster Types in the game. They're the ultimate toolbox Type, and their archetypes have their own support as well. Noble Knights, Satellarknights, Six Sams, etc get mileage from this.

Search cards are a dangerous thing. The best comment on their design is a search card is only as good as its targets. This has a LOT of targets. A lot of good, solid, flexible targets and tech choices in archetype-focused Decks.

lol tellarknights just got broken.

Vanilla pendulums just got boosted to meta, and to top it all off it searches for alot of things >.>

Vanilla Pendulums? Really, why?

I consider this to be blatant Noble Knight pandering. They're releasing the Noble Knight thing, and simultaneously giving Warriors their best search card.

Did the math.

There is a 67.9% chance of hitting Medraut + a Noble Arms turn 1, barring Veiler if the Medraut you hit was Merlin.

If you go second, this chance is 77.5%.

EDIT: This is assuming:

3 Rota

3 Medraut

3 Merlin

9 Noble Arms

3 Pot of Duality

3 Upstart

EDIT 2: There.

All for it.  I'd prefer if it was Semi-d... But hell I'm not going to argue with this.  Everyone saying it's a terrible hit are overreacting, as all Yugioh players do when cards come back (OH MEH GARD!!! TENKI AT 3!!!)  And now it's like... Okay cool... You guys will forget this card was ever even at 2 or below soon.

No we won't  ._.

It's a terrible move. It's a very, very unhealthy game impact and design choice. It will go back downafter they sell Knights and maybe HEROes.

I know what you're saying.

However, Reinforcement is different. Tenki only supported certain Decks, which were meta at the time.

Reinforcement is just SO flexible and helps out several relevant archetypes.

Don't respond to people's comments like this. It's insufferably condescending to someone who was not acting that way towards you.

I genuinely believe Konami only did this move to pander to Noble Knights and Satellarknights. If those Decks become top tier, they will have to rein them in again, and this card will be the most logical hit without actually hurting the Deck itself.

A bit too late by years in saying this but, I'd like consistency toys for decks not have a deck thinning impact in this game. If the cards were more restricted, if the decks were thicker naturally, and/or if there was an energy resource system like in other games, I could take it, but this is stupid.

As if Warrior-Types of all things needed searchability, and as if it wasn't an over-supported and incredibly wide Type already.
