God Bless The King [OOC/PG-16/Started/Accepting]

As it Stands, Daphne as a character and along with her weapon and magics sections are both appropriate and accepted. It's just that there was a rather fun copy-paste typo in there ;P

Fayyad is again on the brink of being completely accepted. I just want to know what those three named objects of his alchemy can do. They sound very very interesting, but all I can do is guess. Give me a line or so on their effects and expected outcome of partaking in them. After that, consider him accepted.

...hm. Hmm. Co-hosting, eh? I'm honoured. ^w^ I'll do my best to keep things on the rails while you're gone~

I just wonder if host's privilege will give me an excuse to learn what the hell Kane's deal is... it'll be hard to keep the roleplay fairly aligned with his plot (which is so secretive and so unrelated to everything else that it looks poised to eat the original plot) if I don't know what his plot is even supposed to be.

Well, either way, I'd be glad to help keep things on track. Except, as I said before, on Fridays. :V

Opening Day! Meet the Cast~!!

With the Ic up and live, you are free to begin your posting of your character's In-Character adventure! I have an event prepared that I have warned you all about since the opening of the OOC ;D Opening day! This will be the day before the Shadow Walker Invasion, A Peaceful day for us to introduce our characters in their normal lives and have them interact with one another. This shouldn't last too long, brevity is the focus here, but opening up to each other and getting familiar, friendly, comfortable with working together is also key. Simply introduce your character in your first post and then focus on interaction between your character and another or responding to those who already have attempted to bridge the gap is your only goals here. IF your character isn't from Gnorfiend and will be entering the RP, then this is the day they stumble into the Kingdom one way or another. Explore the depths of each other's characters if you can, obviously the rate of posting with determine just how much we can get out of this event. Events won't be common or casual, so let's make the most out of this one, eh?

There is no post order to follow, simply just do not post twice in a row and do your best to involve others who have posted before you, if you can. If others had started their intros and no one has interacted with your character, if you see a window that is plausible, send your character their way. Like Minesweeper ^_^

Enjoy~ Goodluck and have fun! (Iloveyouo-o)

Name: Luke Lansor Night

Age:
16

Gender: Male

Race: Lycanthropic Human (Basically a werewolf)

Appearance: A cool Wolf-like humanoid teen. He usually wears during adventures a black hood, a belt ,usually filled with some sort of small grimoire, and has some gloves so his claws aren't seen. He also has a crossbow attached to his belt as well but sometimes doesn't have it on him since he prefers close range or . He might also wear a black quiver if he uses his crossbow. He might also wear some triantum (strong but nearly weightless metal) armor with a sheathed sword on his back and a grimoire of fire. In his werewolf form he becomes ,well a werewolf, he wears armored leggings, and some reinforced gloves. His eyes then glow yellow, and his fangs are extremely sharp, enough to devour a human without barely chewing. Back to his human form, during the time he isn't out adventuring (which is usually never) he wears some armored clothing (basic squire armor) and a simple sheathed dagger for emergencies.
Lycanthrope_by_SilverLycanthrope.jpg
Personality:A cool guy who can laugh even in a crisis. He usually deals with problems with laughing and smiling. He loves protecting his friends. He usually doesn't kill unless necessary. He is an insane guy when it comes to fighting, usually making his enemies suffer due to past pain. He is likes making people his friends and is (sometimes) easy to get along with. He can be somewhat unstable due to the fact that his father tried to kill him multiple times. He likes everyone and loves to battle with friends. He might not look it but he is and can attack anything in the arena, meaning he won't have mercy on anyone. He usually deals with people he doesn't trust with sarcasm and insults. He can be a pain to his teachers/masters due to his disobedience and his "I can't lose" attitude, which usually leads to doing idiotic things like challenging tough monsters he shouldn't. He also has that talent of getting himself in the most peculiar problems, like fighting a dragon or doing a quest. He can be a bothersome kid but he makes up for his idiotic moves with his bravery and courageous actions.

Bio:He's a kid from the slums of a neighboring nation of Gnorfiend. His parents were a semi-abusive father, an insane mother and an older sister who he lost when he was 3. He hated his father for being abusive and drunk, and his mother for not doing anything to help him or defend him. One day, while coming home after his father tells him to go out and buy some food, he finds his old man dead on the floor bleeding and goes to look for his mom, whom he sees get violently killed then eaten by a werewolf. He then tries to run, gets captured by the werewolf and is then taught by the same monster. He then finds out his new teacher is actually planning to use him as a slave, which leads him to kill the werewolf. He didn't notice being bitten by the now dead wolf man. He then moves to Gnorfiend as a student of magic, and learn how to control his werewolf powers (which was the easy part). He became a master at swordsmanship during his time studying to become a mage. He has keen senses due to his lycanthropic powers. He is also a mage when he has a spare moment, but since he is still a kid he isn't trusted with high tier missions. This bothers him so at times he goes on missions alone to satisfy his lust for adventure. He sometimes raids a farm or two when his werewolf side takes over, but usually that never happens.
Although he can be quite nice he is usually treated wrongly for his werewolf side. He tries to keep a smiling attitude so that he can not become the monster everyone thinks of him and believes that it helps him become a more decent person.

Magic: Fire Manipulation (One of specialties), and Transformation magic (Can transform into a full on Lycanthrope)

Questions and concerns:

 • Zero Fangslay Deathbringer? Really?
 • This is a high fantasy setting. Despite what Kane Underwood may make you believe, they don't have jeans or T-shirts. They definitely don't have friggin' Wolverine claws. (Also: what's the point of wolverine claws if he's a werewolf who has real claws?)
 • The picture you provided for appearance looks nothing like your actual description. I mean, when in doubt, just... describe the picture. "Medium-length black hair; wolf ears; a cheerful, shy, almost feminine face; soft, caring blue eyes..." and so on.
 • Who mugs an eight-year-old? Relatedly: Who sends their eight-year-old son and crown prince unattended to live on their own without a security escort? It might almost make sense if the crown prince had already come of age when he left, but he's eight! Has this king never heard of political rivals?
 • I'm pretty sure people would recognize their own crown prince when they went to arrest him. He could just point out "btw my dad is the king so uh" and be out by sunset.
 • I have a bit of trouble believing he conquered a whole town by the age of 16. Especially if it's a town run by darkness-mage werewolves. He's a main character, so I could see him escaping three, four, maybe five royal warriors - but he's not gonna take out a whole town at an age where most people are still learning how not to embarrass themselves every time they open their mouths.
 • You do realize that you need to specify your individual spells, right? Check the accepted apps for examples.
 • You implied in your bio that lycanthrope magic was heavily limited by element - that they normally only use dark magic, and that Zero used fire magic instead. Where, then, do "time control" and "wind magic" come from? Personally, I recommend getting rid of those powers altogether. Time manipulation has nothing to do with the character, and it's such an exploitable power it's really the basis for a whole character by itself. Wind magic also has nothing to do with the character, and Maia already has an invisibility cloak.
 • "Weapon creation" seems completely pointless. He already has a weapon, and he'll be fighting in werewolf form most of the time anyway if I understand correctly, so it really fulfils no purpose at all. Oh, and Kane Underwood already has a shapeshifting weapon. My recommendation: Ditch that too, and double down on the fire magic and the being a werewolf.
 • But do be aware that we already have a fire mage. I mean, we could double up no problem, but just so you know.
 • Why is your entire post in bold?

Yami, your app is almost impossible to believe. Taken from what SG said, your guy needs a serious amount of work. I mean, you need to put the effort into it. Saying this, I agree completely with SG. But, 16? You'll get wiped out straight off the bat within 5 seconds. All Fantasy RPs are harsh if you don't know what you're doing.

Possible suggestions for how to get accepted:

 • Don't be a prince. The royal family has tons of propaganda on its side, and it usually IS the law. Even in a constitutional monarchy it can get away with a lot (cf. Henry VIII changing his country's national religion so he could get a divorce). If you're a poor commoner, it makes a lot more sense for superstition and fear to take over when faced with an unfamiliar power.
 • Don't destroy the whole town - just get out of jail and run. :V
 • Change... your first name, at least. "Zero Fangslay Deathbringer" is very hard to take seriously.
 • Focus your magic in on just the fire and lycanthropy, like I said before. (Relatedly: don't have your dagger shoot Magic Missiles.) By specializing, you can actually make the game more fun. If you have a tool in your toolbox for every possible situation, things can get dull quickly. But if you have a specialty, then the tension goes up, and fight scenes become more fun to write. "A wolf with fiery fangs bearing down on his enemies to tear them apart, but who's weak to ranged attacks" is more fun to consider, in my opinion, than "A wolf who can also shoot fire and magic missiles and control time and turn invisible with wind magic." The latter almost makes you forget he's a werewolf. :v

Don't take this too hard. It's not like all the apps we already have are works of art (speaking of Mary Sues, there's someone already accepted who could defeat 50,000 enemies by the time he was twelve, cough cough). Honestly, in another RP, this character might fly. But except for Kane Underwood, this is a relatively low-power game. Maia, Daphne, Fayyad, and Balok all had to study pretty hard for their magic. Daphne is a pure mage, and the other three I just mentioned all have very specialized utility magic (Maia for support/healing, Balok for restriction, and Fayyad for utility). Maia and Balok, as I understand it, are still learning; Fayyad has basically mastered his niche, but he's twice the age of all the other characters. In a superhero game, that backstory would be... expected, even. It's just here, the standards are a bit different.
