cr47t
Torrential Blast Normal Spell Card Lore: Upon activation on the field, if you control 2 or more monsters; Draw 1 card, then destroy all monsters you control. During your Main Phase, if all of your Spell/Trap zones are occupied by cards you control; You can discard this card from your hand; Draw 1 card, then destroy all Spell/Trap cards you control. You can only use one effect of "Torrential Blast" per turn, and only once that turn. The point of this card is to free up your S/T zones if they are all filled and you want to play a certain but don't have a set MST to do the job of clearing up one, or to free up your Monster Zones if they`re all filled and/or want to do something like, say, Cyber Dragon but cant because you have a monster on the field. Please C&C this please. (Also if you can tell me what C&C means that would be nice)
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
It's a major minusing machine whose purpose is kind-of to draw and not be a major minusing machine. Yeah, you do have monsters that would like to be destroyed, but we already have Dark Hole and Torrential Tribute as "wipe own frontrow" cards, and they do the job well enough while giving you something more useful than a draw; even if the opponent is going to benefit from a frontrow wipe as well, you can often get at least something out of it. This does fill the niche of the times when Dark Hole won't really do anything to the opponent, but you're losing at least three cards just to draw one. This doesn't factor in floating effects you'll get, though. Field clog is normally not a problem, unless you're too intent on setting everything you possibly can. You can oftentimes avoid being unable to play your own backrow by having a chainable card that will leave the field upon being played (Ring of Destruction, CED) or just by only filling four zones and leaving one open. By the wording of this card, if your opponent is playing a troll card like Ground Collapse, you can't play this, which sucks. But, on the bright side, it can be a slightly better Dark Hole in Yang Zings if Dark Hole would be ineffective, and the second effect can serve as a free draw + chain link for Chain Burn. So, there's some merit to this card. I just feel like it's a little weak for some reason, but offering more draws would probably make it too good in the aforementioned Yang Zings/Chain Burn. Toffee.
Fire Kings would have a field day with this card. And not just because it destroys your own monsters, but like... Wolfbark easily makes this live, and gets even sillier if you revive Barong with the former, and proceed to play This. Garunix is typically always present, so any extra monster will just be- *ahem* more fuel for the fire. Not to mention, This + Supply Squad would be outright stupid in those scenarios. Then, if on the off chance you've somehow filled your Spell/Traps with Tenki/Squads/etc and can't get rid of/use them otherwise, this will let you play other stuff while clearing said row. (Not like you would care if they were filled anyway) So outside of some gimmicky plays, this card just comes off as being weird.
Trebuchet MS
Redundancy! Upon activation on the field, If you control 2 or more monsters: Draw 1 card, then destroy all monsters you control. During your Main Phase, if all of your Spell/Trap Zones are occupied by cards you control: You can discard this card from your hand; draw 1 card, then destroy all Spell/Trap cards you control. You can only use 1 effect of "Torrential Blast" per turn, and only once that turn. That said, it's quite bizarre and is the kind of card that begs to be exploited. As mentioned above, Yang Zings and Fire Kings will enjoy triggering off this card's activation. There aren't a lot of Decks that fill in the condition for the second effect, but Chain Burn is one of the few that do and does adore the extra draw and link. tl;dr, would rather use things that at least break even in card advantage without external assistance. Forest Fire
Couldn't this be used in Artifacts? Nope never mind. If it was quick play, Artifacts could use this to plus a lot. Though then it would it would be even more hilarious in Fire Kings and Yang Zings. not much to say that hasn't been said. I just thought i'd interject with the first thing that popped into my head. Anything else you want to add. It's fine to agree with above posters, but you actually need to give your own opinion on how the card is designed and so on. Basically, anything that the TC can do to fix cards, if the aforementioned YZs and Fire Kings indeed make some loop with this?
