[ANIME] Re-Contract Covenant

Recommended Posts

It really helps if you post the other Covenant that goes with it, because that card has the ability to negate card effects so it combos with this one. It's still wonky, but it's not as lolwut as people say.

>negating a lingering effect and activates it as your own.

That part is the weakest part of the episode and felt completely bs, nya.

Reiji himself says that effect only stops the activation of cards on the field at the time of resolution, so the activation is valid. As for negating the boost and then sucking it up... that's a bit harder to justify.

It's not up yet on the Wikia, so can't add it.

If it were there, I'd add it on this thread so you can talk about both.

Although I have to leave in a while, so one of you will have to post it when it becomes available.

Basically it can negate any 1 Spell/Trap Effect activated previously in the turn, but you take 1k in your next Standby.

Time to add the second one

Once per turn: You can negate the effect of a Spell/Trap Card activated during this turn. During your next Standby Phase after this effect was activated: You take 1000 damage.

Both together allow to steal the effect of one spell/trap used during one turn, actually the first one should definitely be able to copy even if the card was not negated.
