Zauls
This might actually encourage slower control-based decks to come back into the game. Faster decks can't use this quite as well because drawing a card means you can't use the destruction effect which means you can't win that turn, but control decks don't care about that and they need an advantage-gaining card. Also Konami are really pushing for LP to be a bigger thing.

Progenitor
I, King D/D/D, declare this to be the best thing for the deck. Well won't D'Ark be a bit counterproductive? You can't damage your opponent with all that life you gain. Granted you can just pop it when you are ready to go for game but still...

Blake
I mean the early turns are "gain LP and advantage from Abyss Ragnarok", and he halves damage anyways, so..
Progenitor
Fair enough. It has it's use without question. It just stalls you for a few turns while you set up I guess.

Thing is, it's not difficult for fast-paced decks to let themselves drop by a few life points or Upstart and give them a few which makes the downside less relevant. It's still a free draw with only a slight drawback.

Yes, but what I'm saying is that gaining the draw means you're not going to win that turn, and for fast-paced decks that means the advantage you gain is lessened. You're only going to be able to use it once, maybe twice, per game, and only really early on too. Fast-paced decks only benefit early game when trying to get to combo pieces, whereas control decks can utilise it just as well throughout the whole game. Tinkerer
Heh. Finally found a field spell I'd use Field Barrier with. So gonna use this with the Aromas. I know they have their own field spell, but this would ultimately net more advantage + there are a few gaining cards for Aroma as of now anyway. Atypical-Abbie
Oh, both players can use it now. That's interesting, since the opponent can choose to destroy it to stop you from drawing, or draw themselves. What a player interactive card. How neat.
