The player with less LP takes no damage. Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase: The turn player can pay 1000 LP, then activate 1 of these effects;
● Draw 1 card.
● Destroy this card.
● Your opponent gains 1000 LP.
Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation.

I've actually only seen this card in a duel once because I've been busy and unable to play lately. What exactly IS the big deal with this card? How does the FTK work?

Use it with 3 pseudo space and you have 6 more upstarts. Use that to draw into Life Equalizer + Magic Explosion and reduce your LP to 2k, use equalizer, use explosion, win.

 

It's not super new since equalizer magical explosion wall of life has always been there but it makes it a lot more consistent. Anyway, Life Equalizer is the problem but making decks 31 cards with just draw is just silly either way.

I feel things like this is what happens when Konami doesn't watch what they are doing and hits the wrong stuff. Royal Magical Library should have left the building after that Exodia bs, not Butterfly Dagger, and I stand by that. It already was proving the card had the potential to be way too powerful, and now we have enough showcases of it. They will try hard to dodge it because of Pendulums, but ultimately it will have to go when a problem is caused YET AGAIN. But because its fuel came because of new cards that so happened to work with it, the new cards are the forefoot to blame, because people like something new to complain about, and that's the truth on the standpoint of Chicken Race for the most part. It is slightly dumb, but really, did Pseudo Space need to exist? And does Royal Magical Library need to stay legal? You tell me

So I tried using it outside of the FTK Decks. The first thing that came to mind is Hope for Exodia. It didn't work out as well since the opponent would just pop it themselves with anything available for the killing blow, or utilize the card to close the LP gap and reduce the amount of mileage I get off Hope for Escape. Also, the times where I'd use it to raise the opponent's LP just make it increasingly uncomfortable as the opponent keeps going for draws.
