Once per turn, if a monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or by card effect: Draw 1 card.

 

By today's standards, this card is pretty ghetto. However, I've always liked the idea behind it; Letting you draw if a monster you control is destroyed regardless of method, and regardless if it ends up being Banished or not. It also doubles as a bit of a safety net.
'Course, it's not a bad card by any means, since it boils down to the fact that This card is merely a gimmick that can be exploited if it's in the right Deck, since otherwise it's pretty random.
Or whatever.

When this card was first revealed, I thought it would mark the next stage of the powercreep and would function as a better deck thinner (replacing Upstart, Duality, etc.), taking all decks to the next level. My logic behind this was that, in theory, even casual/rogue decks could staple this to turn their monsters into floaters, in addition to their effects. Needless to say, things didn't go that way: it was soon outpowercreeped as Robin pointed out, lower-tier/rogue/casual decks normally don't bother with running this, and nowadays it is only considered in decks that actively destroy cards.

Well, maybe it indeed was a sign of the next powercreep stage, but it was kind of overshadowed by DUEA.

I've seen it as pretty effective in a TG Synchro Deck, and it really helps with their tendency to run out of cards when actually using Synchro Summons, plus Wonder Magician/Power Gladiator net a draw when they die, and the base monsters search other TGs when they die. Then again, the version I saw also runs a fair amount of defensive S/Ts, so it can have a ton of longevity...provided they don't get Field wiped too much.
