Brilliant Fusion

BrilliantFusion-CORE-EN-SR-1E.png

When this card is activated: Fusion Summon 1 "Gem- Knight" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your Deck as Fusion Materials, but change its ATK and DEF to 0. If this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. Once per turn: You can discard 1 Spell Card; the monster Special Summoned by this card's effect gains ATK and DEF equal to its original ATK and DEF , until the end of your opponent's turn. You can only activate 1 "Brilliant Fusion" per turn.

Bless Masumi.

This+Performages is probably my favorite engines in TCG at the moment.

Discuss the engine's usage and its usage in its own deck.

Yeah, in Madolche this is a Double Summon that's not awkward and greatly increase the deck's ceiling. I remember this also being used in some RB build since you can dump Kanna using it. Performages Pendulums atm use it really effectively and they don't care as much if they open the garnets, and Volcanics in theory can use this too, though it'd be infinitely better there if Chain's around.

And then there's its usage in fun decks.

Topdecking Future Fusion is really fair.

drawing garnet really sucks tho

if there were better engines that didnt force us to run 1-2 blanks we would BUT the trade-off IS 9 copies of plushfire and no alternative really mimics that

Something to keep in mind that Seraphinite prohibits you from NSing Chamaleon especially when u cant PS it (which is relevant in turns where you've used up your Juggler search)

Brilliant + Storm is amazing because Brilliant counts as 2 spells and 1 SS

I find it kinda a necessary evil in Pendulums just because it makes getting to Snowcone so much easier. It requires you to play Sabersaurus then gives you a crappy monster which clogs your board but it's still kinda necessary to play just because Damage Juggler is the absolute most important card in the deck and being able to send it puts you very far ahead. I hope for the sake of the deck that someone will find a better alternative.

No one mentions NK's?

This card to summon Seraphinite for Double Summon reaaaaaaaaally help NK's with their field presence problem (BTH, Solemn, anything).

Also being a Level 5 works with most of the NK's when equipped (or Laundsallyn) for a quick Durendal and *poof*.

PTOLEMAEUS AZZATHOT :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

or my personal favorite

burgesstoma psyframe

God....that first one is such pure unadulterated cancer.

It's funny though, there were a few tournaments post EP with the old list and BA and Monarchs still managed to top even with Planet Azathoth

Stoma Psyframe work?!

GhostBunny is bad

Actually for the reasons Giga mentioned it functions well since it's one of the few defensive cards that acts as a combo piece, being able to make stardust without having to Pend summon or scarlight which is pretty busted since it can average around 5k on its own, stardust beats juggler and wavering eyes

Reminds me a lot of how OCG played Veiler to sync with Dragonpulse Magician in the early clownblade builds to make Ignister

Err when was this? Wasn't 4+4 always easier to do? Early early pepe used Veiler to make Trishula, but it was rare iirc. Like was this immediately after the Magican Deck came out?

ANYWAY, Hoppy's gonna be eating his words once Pepe and Magicans come out, so it's only a matter of time

Yeah really early definitely before DOCS. It wasn't so much that Veiler was used mainly for synchro plays (it requires your normal summon) but it could be either a defensive card when you don't need to normal summon it (opened joker) or a synchro play when you do need it (did not open slayer)
