Well this image is bigger than it needs to be:

DDBerfomet-DOCS-EN-R-1E.png

Once per turn: You can target 1 "D/Dmonster you control that has a Level, except "D/D Berfomet", and declare a Level from 1 to 8; it becomes that Level until the end of this turn, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "D/D" monsters.

As much as the inability to target another Berfomet hurts him, Siegfried now means Night Howling and this guy gain a little extra utility. Siegfried and Beowulf also mean this guy has more targets with which to make Kali Yuga, though that one's still iffy.

Not saying he's great yet, but he has more utility than he did before.

Also, obligatory DM reference since he has the same stats as Baphomet in the manga.

The DDD only restriction hurts less when you can end on a Shi en.

not especially

Shi En without protection is not that strong anymore. ESPECIALLY since it doesn't negate the activation. Siegfried is strong, but to be amazing enough to make the restrictions worth it... it needed to be a HRDAA or CH Contrast.

This means, say, Monkeyboard becomes a vanilla 1 scale, which INCREASES versatility with it, in exchange for not searching. It's not optimal, but it doesn't hurt as much as negating it would, considering you can then set Luster and PS before blowing up monkey to get another.

Negating the effect of a continuous s/t or pendulum scale is honestly weak a lot of the time, and it just doesn't do enough in most matchups. I guess it would be good against something like Spellbooks or something with backrow that it can stop, but not in the majority, where it's only sometimes live.

This does seem better, but I'm still not convinced enough to main it.

Also, Beowulf is sheet. Just use Ragnarok + Siegfried or Ragnarok + Ragnarok, because that card is broken and has no copy restrictions.
