Number 56: Gold Rat

LIGHT/Rank 1/Beast/Xyz/Effect

500/600

3 Level 1 monsters

This card cannot be destroyed by battle, and is unaffected by your opponent's Spell/Trap card effects. During your Standby Phase: you can attach 1 card from your hand to this card as XYZ Material. Detatch 1 XYZ Material from this card: Draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of "Number 56: Gold Rat" twice per turn.

Changes: Gave it some protection because you would never realistically have it survive 3 turns, made it's effect reusable, and removed the downside.

3 Level 4 Monsters

When this card is XYZ Summoned: Your opponent reveals their extra deck. If no XYZ monsters were revealed: This card's original ATK and DEF become 3000. Once per turn, during your opponent's Main Phase (Quick Effect): This card gains ATK and DEF equal to the total ATK of all face-up XYZ monsters your opponent currently controls. Once per turn: you can decrease this card's ATK and DEF by 1000: Special Summon 1 "Void Token" (LIGHT/Level 1/Aqua/Xyz/Effect/1000 ATK/1000 DEF). These tokens cannot be used as a Material for the Summon of a monster.

Changes: Now if actually does stuff if your opponent doesn't play XYZ, also summons tokens because.

You can also Xyz Summon this card using a "Gagaga", "Dododo", "Zubaba", or "Gogogo" Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. During your Standby Phase: You can target a number of "Gagaga", "Zubaba", "Dododo", and "Gogogo" monsters in your GY, up to the number of materials used to Xyz Summon this card; attach them to this card as materials. You can only use this effect of "Gauntlet Launcher" once per turn.

Changelog: I honestly don't think Gauntlet Launcher is that bad, but alright.

Next Card: Number 10: Illumiknight. It's basically Rank 4 Gold Rat.

If this card is flipped face-up: Send 1 card on the field to the GY

Now it can target any Special Summoned monster. Still won't stop Links, but at least can disrupt any would-be material.

Eh, I think "leave the field by card effect" would be more concise.

Anyways

Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk

You can target 1 face-up Monster you control; equip this monster you control to that target. It gains 1200 ATK and any Battle Damage you take involving that Monster is halved. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card in your opponent's GY; banish that target, then you can make your opponent banish a card of the same Card Type (Monster, Spell, Trap) from their field but return it during the End Phase. You can use this effect of "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk" up to twice per turn.

Changes:

Can equip to any Monster

Halves Battle Damage to the equipped monster

Is now mini-Trishula, that forces opponent to banish a card of the same type as the card banished from GY

Returns cards from field during End Phase to prevent abuse.

Actually, just leave it as "if this card leaves the field" since the effect also applies when it's used as material. Also, I would suggest to make the monster revive itself instead, because this "use materials as substitute" has no precedence and I'm not sure how it would interact mechanic-wise with Tribute or Extra Deck Summons.

Removed "No other Monster restriction"

You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 39: Utopia" you control as the Xyz Material. (Transfer its Materials to this card.) You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it gains 500 ATK and 1 monster your opponent controls loses 1000 ATK, until the End Phase. You can only activate this effect a number of times equal to the number of monsters your opponent controls.

- 1000 LP restriction is dumb af

- But being able to put out 4k damage on 2 monsters also seems kinda nutty, so it works best when your opponent has a board.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's Battle Effect added for it for a savage blow to opponent's LP.

If an Xyz monster was revealed: For the rest this turn, all other cards have their effects negated. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; attach all materials from monsters your opponent controls to this card, then this card gains 500 ATK for each, and can attack again for each of it's materials.

Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: Destroy all other monsters you control, and if you do, this card gains 300 ATK for each monster sent to the Graveyard this way; then, you can send a number of cards your opponent controls to the Graveyard up to the number of cards destroyed this way.

Changelog:

●You can run floodgates without it losing its protection.

●Only blows up your monsters now, to allow you to keep said floodgates.

●Boost is now permanent.

●Kills your opponent's field presence, creating a 1-for-1 trade that is only made advantageous by floating effects.

Blindly Loyal Goblin
EARTH/Warrior/Effect/Level 4/1800 ATK/1500 DEF
Control of all monsters you control cannot be changed, also your monsters cannot be Tributed, except for the the Summon and effects of your monsters. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a monster whose original owner is the same as this card's original owner: Destroy that monster.

Changelog: If I am devoting time to this old card, then this old card must spread the devotion around. He will rally your monsters to make sure they don't fall into enemy hands, especially in this day and age of Mind Controls being less restricted. He will also protect your monsters from the dreaded Kaiju and Sphere Modes that seek to steal away his comrades. Finally, this Goblin will slay all that get revived by your opponent to betray their master from beyond the grave. He's a good Goblin, and will do what it takes to ensure that his owner is protected, no matter what.

Next Card: This guy is getting a reprint soon in the Legendary Hero Decks, but I don't think he deserves it. Ascension Sky Dragon.

Ascension Sky Dragon

LIGHT - Level 10 - Dragon/Synchro/Effect - ?/3000

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Cannot be targeted by, and is unaffected by, the effects of monsters with less ATK than this card's. If this card is Synchro Summoned: Draw 1 card. If exactly 1 card is added to your hand: This card gains 400 ATK for each card in your hand. If this card is sent to your Graveyard, if all monsters used for this card's Synchro Summon are in your Graveyard: You can Special Summon all of them. You can only activate this effect of "Ascension Sky Dragon" once per turn.

Changelog:

●Immunity to (and protection from) the effects of any monsters smaller than itself, meaning that your opponent will need to either run backrow-based removal or run this boy over by battle.

●Draws a card on Synchro Summon, instead of ATK gain.

●The ATK gain is moved to whenever you get exactly 1 card, meaning that it triggers off of every search effect- that's why I halved the boost.

●Doesn't negate effects on the mass revival, meaning that you can very easily go off with the proper setup.

There. That's a boss.

This card's Fusion Summon cannot be negated. (Quick-Effect) When a card or effect is activated that targets card(s) on the field: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. During your End Phase: If this card is in your GY; You can banish 1 EARTH Synchro monster from your GY; Special Summon this card.

Changes:

Cannot have its Fusion Summon negated

Reacts to cards that targets any number of cards, not just 1

Special Summons itself if you have enough EARTH Synchro Monsters in your GY.

Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak

DARK/level 4/Winged Beast/Tuner/Effect

700/1500

If this card was Special Summoned, it cannot be used as a Synchro Material. If you control a Synchro Monster: You may Special Summon this card from your hand. During the turn that this card was Special Summoned, you can Normal Summon 1 "Blackwing" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set this turn. You may only gain this effect of "Blacking - Kochi the Daybreak" once per turn. When this card is Normal Summoned: Declare a level from 1 to 4. This card becomes that level.

Changes: Kochi was a weird card. It was terrible if it was special Summoned, so it wanted to be Normal Summoned. But it also was bad if you Normal Summoned it. I made it do something if you Normal Summoned it ,and made it do something if you Special Summoned it. Now, instead of being a downside, the way you Summon it is more of a multiple choice card.

Yeah, but that was because it was one of a handful of Synchros. The moment better Synchro options came along, it was left behind.

Performapal Turn Toad

All stats and attribute/type the same

Pendulum Effect: (Quick Effect) Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; switch its current ATK and DEF until the end of this turn.

Monster Effect: (Quick Effect) Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field; change its battle position, and if you do, you can switch its current ATK and DEF until the end of this turn. If this card on the field is used as Fusion, Xyz, Synchro, or Link Material by also using an "Odd-Eyes" monster; add from your Deck to your hand "Performapal" monsters whose ATK is equal to or less than the ATK of that "Odd-Eyes" monster. You can only use this effect of "Performapal Turn Toad" once per turn.

Quick effects are in, and it's not removal so it's probably fine.

Speaking of probably fine, searching a bunch of performapals is probably fine too, especially since to really plus you have to use a big odd-eyes and that takes investment to summon.

Once per turn, while there is a monster on the field whose current ATK is different from its original ATK, you can target 1 of those monsters: Gain LP equal to the difference from that monster's current ATK and its original ATK

Monster Effect:

When this card battles an opponent's monster: You can make this card gain 1000 ATK for each monster on the field whose current ATK is different from its original ATK, until the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect while its current ATK is higher than its original ATK: You can target 1 monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use each monster effect of "Performapal Laugh Maker" once per turn.

Changes:

Gains LP from any monster on the field whose current ATK is different from its original ATK

LP Gain changed to difference from original ATK instead of 1000

Gains ATK even if being attacked also changed condition to any monster on the field whose current ATK is different from its original ATK

Now can trigger both monster effects in the same turn.
