FIRE/Level 4/Warrior/Effect

1500/1000

This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards. When this card declares an attack: Target 1 Spell/Trap card on the field and destroy it. Once per turn: you can Special Summon 1 Warrior monster from your hand. When this card is sent from the field to the GY: Special Summon 1 other Warrior monster from your hand. If that monster was a "Six Samurai" monster, draw 1 card.

Changes: Is now a warrior because stuff, also has an obvious effect now.

Viser Des

Level 4 DARK Fiend/Effect

Once per turn, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; while this card is face-up on the field that Monster cannot activate its effect and cannot be Tributed or used as Material for a Summon. If the targeted Monster is a Monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, that targeted Monster cannot activate its effects in response to this card's activation. During your 3rd Standby Phase after this effect's activation, send that Monster to the GY. Cannot be targeted as an Attack Target or by card effects while the targeted Monster is face-up on the field.

ATK/500 DEF/1200

Changes:

Effect now is an optional trigger

Does something to targeted Monster

Targeted Monster cannot activate its effects or be used as Link Material or be Tributed

Unchainable if Monster is Special Summoned from Extra Deck

Sent to the GY instead of being destroyed.

Can't be targeted for effects or attacks while targeted Monster is face-up

Darklord Asmodeus

Cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. During your Main Phase: You can send 1 Fairy monster from your Deck to the GY, except "Darklord Asmoedus". If this card is sent to the GY: Special Summon 1 "Asmo Token" (Fairy/DARK/Level 5/ATK 1800/DEF 1300) and 1 "Deus Token" (Fairy/DARK/Level 3/ATK 1200/DEF 1200). "Asmo Token" cannot be destroyed by card effects. "Deus Token" cannot be destroyed by battle. You can only use each effect of "Darklord Asmodeus" once per turn.

Changes

  • Removed GY SS restriction
  • Token generator now activates upon being sent to GY by any mean
  • Hard OPT for both effects

Changes

  • No 7 or more DARK monsters requirement
  • New Effects in bold

Number 104: Masquerade

LIGHT/Rank 4/Spellcaster/XYZ/Effect

2700/1200

3 Level 4 monsters

Once per turn (Quick Effect): When a monster effect is activated, or a card or effect is activated during the Battle Phase: You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card, negate that effect, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. Once per turn; You can look at your opponent's deck and banish 1 card from it, face-down.

Changes: Now works outside of the Battle Phase, and banishes cards instead of sending to the GY.

Number C80: Requiem in Berserk
DARK/Fiend/Xyz/Effect/Rank 5/0 ATK/2000 DEF
3 Level 5 monsters
You can target 1 face-up monster you control; equip this monster you control to that target. It gains 2000 ATK. If the equipped monster is a "Number" Xyz Monster, is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. If a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed, destroy this card instead. If this card has "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field or in either player's GY; banish it. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect's activation.

Changelog: You would think an upgraded version would be able to equip to more things.

This time, Requiem has more versatility, still having the base package upon being a Pseudo-Union, but able to give it to anything, but adding in an extra deal if it works with a fellow Number.

Also, it actually rewards you for Ranking it up properly, since it will banish your opponent's stuff, and there's not a damn thing they can do about it.

Next Card: You know, working on this card made me remember that most of the Chaos Numbers aren't really worth the effort of Ranking Up. So let's change that. Number C39: Utopia Ray V.

[spoiler=As a wise man once said-GOING GHOST!]

Number C80: Requiem in Berserk

DARK/Warrior-Type Xyz Union Effect Monster/Rank 5/0 ATK/2000 DEF

Lore3 Level 5 monsters

You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; equip this monster you control to that target, OR; Unequip this card and Special Summon it. It gains 2000 ATK, you gain control of that target if it is a monster your opponent controls that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, also if a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. If this card has "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk" as Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
Once per turn: You can detach any number of materials from this card, then target that many cards on the field; banish them, then if you detached "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk", you can Special Summon 1 "Number C80: Requiem in Berserk" from your GY during your opponent's End Phase (even if this card leaves the field).

BD'Switchpanel:
  • Turns into Snatch Steal if you equip this to the opponent's thing. Pity if you're facing Borreload tho
  • BUT NOW THANKS TO THIS BEING THE FIRST EVER XYZ UNION MONSTER IT CAN COME BACK FROM EQUIPMENT TOO
  • And from the GY as well, should you drop Rhapsody for its banishment effect....
  • which now can hit multiple cards in one go, for the trade-off of being once per turn!

Number C39: Utopia Ray V

LIGHT/Warrior-Type Xyz Effect Monster/Rank 5/2600 ATK/2000 DEF

Lore: 3 Level 5 monsters

Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Number C39: Utopia Ray V" by discarding 1 Spell and detaching 1 material from a "Number 39: Utopia" you control, then using it as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) When you do:  You can add 1 "Onomato" card or 1 "V Salamander" from your Deck to your hand. When this card is sent to the GY: You can return 1 Xyz Monster in your GY to the Extra Deck. If this card has a "Utopia" monster as Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; destroy 1 monster on the field, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK on the field.

BD'Switchpanel:
  • Turns into it on discarding a Spell and detaching a material from the original Utopia, a bit reminiscent of the original Rank-Up Spells.
  • Can add the "Onomato" cards and Raigeki de la V Weapon.
  • Xyz-return now goes on if this card goes to the GY, period.
  • Other than that, it's basically Utopia-acquired Volcasaurus with extra search now, have fun with all that

Infernal Flame Emperor

Level 9 FIRE Pyro/Effect

If this card is Summoned: You can banish up to 5 FIRE monsters from your Graveyard; banish that many cards on the field and if you do, inflict 500 damage for each card banished this way. If a FIRE monster inflicts damage to your opponent by card effect, you can Tribute that Monster; Special Summon this card from your GY. You can only use each effect of "Infernal Flame Emperor" once per turn.

ATK/2700 DEF/1600

Changes

  • Removed Special Summon restriction
  • Banished card on the field instead of destroying them and just general cards instead of Spell/Trap Cards

2800/2500

3 Level 5 monsters

If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If this card has a "Utopia" monster as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.

- When this card declares an attack on a monster your opponent controls: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Negate the opponent's monster's effects, also, if that monster was face-up, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's ATK. Additionally, if this card has 2 or more "Utopia" monsters as Xyz Materials, this card also gains ATK equal to that monster's DEF.

Changes: Works on face-down monsters, and ATK gain is permanent. Also gave it an extra effect for having 2 utopias.

Fire Formation - Kaiyo
Trap/Continuous
When this card is activated: You can target 1 Beast-Warrior you control; and if you do, add 1 Beast-Warrior monster from your Deck to your hand, whose ATK is lower than that monster's original ATK, but has the same Attribute. During your next Standby Phase, return that monster banished by this effect to the field, and it can attack twice per Battle Phase that turn. You can only activate 1 "Fire Formation - Kaiyo" per turn. If a Beast-Warrior monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. All Beast-Warrior monsters you control gain 300 ATK.

I turned it into a Cynet Backdoor. Because why not?

Speaking of the worst S/T in an archetype, remember the GX fixation on archetypal support that randomly burns the opponent for some reason? Well, it didn't die with GX.

Yang Zing Brutality

Continuous Trap Card

Description: If a "Yang Zing" monster you control battles an opponent's monster, during damage calculation: Your battling monster's ATK and DEF each become double its original ATK and DEF during that damage calculation only, but it is destroyed at the end of the Damage Step. You can only use this effect of "Yang Zing Brutality" once per turn. You can activate this card from your hand by destroying 1 face-up "Yang Zing" card you control, except a Trap. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Yang Zing" Spell in your GY; add it to your hand.

BD'Switchpanel:

  • oh look an activation effect that starts the Deck off, almost like you've got a good reason to play this first turn now
  • Hard OPT, but hey, that's okay because ITS A CONTINUOUS TRAP NOW
  • and it floats into a Spell too, wonder where the idea of making a Cont. Trap do that came from

Delta Attacker

Normal Spell

Activate only if you control 3 Normal Monsters with the same name. Inflict damage to your opponent equal to their combined ATK. Also, if any of those monsters are sent to the GY: Special Summon 1 Level 1 Normal Monster from your deck. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY, you can banish this card from your GY: All face-up Normal Monsters you control can attack your opponent directly this turn, but if they do, the ATK damage becomes their original ATK.

Changes: Reworked the entire card, but kept the theme of normal monsters and attacking directly.

EARTH - Level 5 - Warrior/Effect - 0/3000

If your opponent's monster declares a direct attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up Defense Position, and proceed to damage calculation with this card as the attack target; then, if this card was Summoned this way, monsters your opponent controls that have not successfully inflicted battle damage to you cannot be used as Material for a Summon. If you have not taken battle damage in a turn, all effect damage you would take is negated. If you had 2000 or less LP at the start of this turn, an opponent's monster that battles this card has its ATK halved, and your LP are increased by any damage your opponent takes from battles involving this card.

Chip damage can suck a lemon. Changes are obvious.

Banish monsters, face-down, from your hand, field, or GY; Special Summon "Blue-Eyes" monsters from your hand, Deck, or GY, up to the number of monsters banished by this effect. Then, if you Special Summon 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" by this effect, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects for the rest of the turn. Ultimaya Tzolkin

(This card's original Level is always treated as 12.)
Cannot be Synchro Summoned. Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending 2 Level 5 or higher monsters you control with the same Level to the GY (1 Tuner and 1 non-Tuner). Once per turn, if a Spell/Trap(s) is Set to your field (except during the Damage Step): You can move this card you control to that Set card's column, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Power Tool" Synchro Monster or 1 Level 7 or 8 Dragon Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. Cannot be targeted for attacks or by card effects, while you control another Synchro Monster.

Changes
  • Inspired in SV-Mobile Base. now makes use of the column mechanic to dodge MR4
  • Changed to semi nomi for late game recovery
  • Changed when to if to avoid missing the timing if needed

Vampire Dragon

Level 5 DARK Zombie/Effect

If you pay LP to activate the effect of a "Vampire" card, you can Special Summon this card from your Hand or GY. You can only Special Summon "Vampire Dragon" once per turn this way. Each time a "Vampire" Monster you control inflicts Battle Damage, gain LP equal to that monster's ATK during that Damage Calculation only. Changes: A complete overhaul.

LIGHT - Level 8 - Dragon/Toon/Effect - 3000/2500

If your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's attacks or effects, except the attacks or effects of Toon monsters. If this card declares an attack: You can add 1 "Toon" or "Blue-Eyes" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

Changelog:

●Removed the semi-nomi clause entirely, making the Special Summon condition both optional and capable of utilizing Lair of Darkness.

●No longer locks it into attacking Toons if your opponent runs them.

●No longer commits suicide if Toon World blows up.

●Targeting protection now extends to effects, still leaving the Toon exception.

Toon Ryu-Ran
FIRE/Dragon/Toon/Effect/Level 7/2200 ATK/2600 DEF
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 2 monsters. This card cannot attack during the turn it was Summoned. If your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. While you control a face-up "Toon World", you choose the attack targets for your opponent's attacks and card effects, except for your opponent's Toon monsters.

Changelog: Since the anime version can hide in Toon World and counterattack, I figured I would give this an ability to reflect that.

Next Card: Here's a twofer. Vampire Orchis AND Des Dendle. I figure, since they're a Union pair, it would only make sense for them to be remade together.

The lack of PSCT on older cards hurt my soul.

Vampiric Orchis

Level 4 EARTH Plant/Effect

When this card is Normal Or Special Summoned: Special Summon 1 "Des Dendle" from your hand, Deck, or GY. While equipped with a Union Monster as an Equip Card, this card gains 1000 ATK. Each time a Plant Monster inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the Battle Damage inflicted then gain LP equal to the Damage inflicted by this effect.

ATK/1700 DEF/1000

Des Dendle

Level 4 EARTH Plant Union/Effect

Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Vampiric Orchis" you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. Each time the equipped monster destroys 1 of your opponent's by battle, Special Summon 1 "Wicked Plant Token" (Plant-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 800/DEF 800). If the equipped monster would be destroyed by Battle or Card effect, destroy this card instead. If this card is sent to the GY, you can target 1 Plant Monster in your GY except "Des Dendle"; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Des Dendle" once per turn.

Changes (Vampiric Orchis):

  • Mandatory effect to Special Summon "Des Dendle anywhere
  • Gains 1000 ATK while equipped to a Union Monster
  • Life Drain after Battle Damage involving Plant Monster.

Changes (Des Dendle):

  • Now protects Vampiric Orchis from card effects
  • Can essentially revive Orchis and start over again if Orchis is sent to the GY with Des Dendle equipped.
