Pros:

Aratama is a card

Nikitama and Stormforth are cards

It Banishes everything else on the field

It forces itself to flip, if your opponent targets it while it's face-down and also nets you a draw in the process/this basically ensures it's going to funk sheet up

3000/3000 is very nice

It doesn't return to your hand if you Normal Summon it- KONAMI PLEASE MAKE MORE SPIRITS LIKE THIS IN THE FUTURE

The ONE con that outweighs all of this, and then some:

It's a motherfucking Spirit monster.

Sucks that NA rulings make the 2 eff unable to activate if it gets Diamond Dire Wolf

Eh? It never works if it gets destroyed by Wolf, it was never flipped face-up, that's a thing all over the world.

Card is strange, it's neat that we get another face-down effect, but double Set Spirit monster is a hefty cost, I suppose that Stormforth exists, and they do have an additional Normal Summon card, so it isn't exactly impossible, but still, slow and it's a Spirit monster, so it almost doesn't seem worth it in the end.

Oh, maybe I should have assumed that, regardless that's not a NA thing anyway.

It is an NA thing.

CL1: Dire Wolf, targetting face down Amaterasu.

CL2: Face down Amaterasu effect 1.

Resolve, resolution doesn't matter too much here.

NOW would be when effect 2 activates, but Amaterasu is no longer on the field, so NA TCG rule of "must be in trigger location" kicks in and Amaterasu cannot activate it's pseudo-flip effect.

But why?

Nothing about this card makes any sense. It's like Konami just threw a bunch of words at the wall, went "let's go with that", and gave us this mess. It's got beautiful art, and it's the first Spirit in forever, but it's awful in a way that makes the OG Spirits look Tier 1. Like why the hell, Konami? Why must you ruin everything?

Just thought of it and it's probably shite but Brilliant Fusion spirits. There are light spirits, the double summon inherently is good and with Nikitama you can in some way swarm. Tricklown for tribute fodder to put down this and Yamata Dragon/Fireman. I mean it'd probably be... egh. Well I'm going to be trying it anyway.

Except... this card is crazy strong, harmful rulings aside.

this is among the greatest troll cards i've ever seen. resolving the two effect would be the most amazing thing ever.

I can say with full confidence that it will never be meta, but it's effect is of the kind that somebody somewhere will make some way to abuse it. the largest drawback though is that it can't be normal summoned. honestly though, dark dust spirit is probably better than this in any spirit deck.

No it's not just the NA, check the Perfect Rulebook at Page 87:

I think it's really cool, tributing setting for 2 isn't that much of an investment nowadays and even more so in spirits. It also protects itself from being sniped off the field whilst face-down and let's you draw.

This card is still pretty trolly but I'm sure it'll catch people off guard at some point.
