Dark Planet is garbage then, you go straight up -2 ship pilots for a +1 boarder that gets outed rather easily. Not worth it. Could be an extra name for Island but that's it.

Apparently you cannot summon a Dark Planet off another Dark planet, cause it says "must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing "Kozmo" monsters from your hand whose total Levels equal 10 or more"

 

Contrast that with Fortress

 

"You can discard Machine-Type monster(s) whose total Levels equal 8 or more, then Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard)"

 

You have to use more than 1 for Planet, you don't for Fortress

Technically, it's because Fortress can also Summon itself from the Graveyard. So while it can Summon itself from the hand, and you discard it, it then overrides it's own effect by letting you Summon it from the Graveyard.

Or some sheet like that.

 

But Planet can ONLY be played from the hand, which is the big difference.

I heard it was cause of (s) which allow you to choose to use multiple cards, Dark Planet doesn't give you that option. You CAN use another Dark Planet I guess, but you'd have to use something more too

Wow that's really stupid. I wish they had just worded it "2 or more Kozmo", the only reason it was printed the way it is is to hype it up.

Do Kozmos really want to use up their hand to drop this? I know they can grab the pieces back with Town, but you'll need to get them back over the course of at least 2 turns, given this is level 10. Seems it's easiest to drop turn 1, which... that's not nice at all. Still, non targeting and a middle finger to anyone trying to set Pendulum Scales is pretty damn swaggy.

ness00 - Today at 10:33 PM yes they said something about the text going for too long by using two more characters; but yeah it's confirmed that it behaves exactly as if it said "monster(s)"

 

So yeah, basically, Konami didn't put in the parentheses because it would cause an additional line in the text. So, treat it as though it said monster(s). yay.

Product cycles. It was similar during BA'S run, but the hit was slightly more drastic (1 TGU vs 2 E-Tele). But once Kozmo hit the scene, Graff went to 1 and Cir to 2. The same will be with the next archetype, once that hits Konami will promote it by hitting everything else in the format.
