Maeriberii Haan
If only our Govenment could get its sheet together and send a manned mission that's only feasible for the next time this happens tbh. preparation takes years, the trip itself take months even at a best case scenario, and returning is...kind of a really big issue. mitchermitcher
Well, The Martian was a thing. Goes without saying, I'm ignorant on this sorta thing but the Apollo landing was almost 50 years ago wasn't it? How come there hasn't been any sort of worldwide news-worthy event? I remember there was news of water discovery on some planet a while ago but it's not like that was a historical moment that the rest of the world will remember. Moon tourism still isn't a thing as far as I know and again I repeat, man's first landing on the moon was almost 50 years ago. Is technological progress that hard? Or is politics that detrimental to space exploration?
♪ ♪Aria ♪ ♪
I wonder how gravity affects the distance between planets, moving them closer and closer till they finally collide.....for more than 100.000.000 trillion years I believe.....Regardless of all that, the Curiosity and Opportunity rovers are still on the mission, searching and thriving for alien life....with no real achievement that's only feasible for the next time this happens tbh. preparation takes years, the trip itself take months even at a best case scenario, and returning is...kind of a really big issue. Not to mention the amount of money the government need to spend for their salary, as it concerns the lives of the missionaries..... Returning is lifetreathening, except using a Space Shuttle which can defend against the atmosphere glare......
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Distance to Mars plays very little factor in whether a mission could be done. Space is a near vacuum, so the fuel difference is negligible.
