Raidraptor - Étrange Falcon

Rank 5 DARK Winged Beast-type XYZ

2000 / ???

Materials: propably 2 level 5 Winged Beast-type monsters

You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK.

Cross XYZ

Normal Spell

Target 1 Xyz Monster and 1 monster you control with the same Level as that Xyz Monster's Rank; immediately after this effect resolves, treat that Xyz Monster's Rank as if it was a Level and Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using those 2 monsters only.

Raidraptor - Evasive

Normal Trap

If a "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster you control is targeted for an attack: Return 1 of its Xyz Materials to the hand; negate the attack.

use cross xyz to make use of that used up castel?

Well or you simply have a level 4 monster like hatricker or even instant fusion instead of this in the hand, the only card to potentially benefit  would be odd-eyes rebellion, howeer xiangke and RUMs are simply much better.

Return to the HAND?

Oh god yes. i'm sold on the trap tbh. Makes blaze a bit more better (yet etranger will be used more solely because of how easy it'll probably be to make).

Well the activation requirements are quite crappy, however I have to agree adding materials to the hand is a cute concept.

Etranger is far better than blaze, partly due to the fact it deals more damage, however mostly due to the fact it has high enough ATK that it can be in ATK position and would require at least a semi-boss to be destroyed (unlike blaze, which has so low ATK that even sangan can crash into it).

that trap card though, that TRAP CARD THOUGH! can't you use it on an ultimate falcon to prevent battle destruction?

i like and hate the concept of it at the same time, on one hand, while restricted to the RR archetype, it's a decent card with interesting interactions, but if there's ever a generic version of it released, it would be one of the most nuts battle traps in existence, outside of the mirror forces.

the spell would have been busted as a quickplay for relatively obvious reasons, but i still wish it had been.

the monster is pretty good, it only targets, unlike blaze, but the trade-off is that it hits way harder, so long as the targeted monster has a decent ATK.
