Harpie no Hanefubuki / Harpie Feather Storm
Normal Trap Card
If you control a “Harpie” monster, you can activate this card from your hand.
(1) If you control a WIND Winged Beast-Type monster: Negate all of your opponent’s activated monster effects until the end of this turn.
(2) If this card in the Spell & Trap Zone is destroyed by an opponent’s card effect: You can add 1 “Harpie’s Feather Duster” from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand

WAAAA....HARPIE'S FEATHER DUSTER SECOND COMING....

well less likely in tcg still

well its nice i guess for them having searchable 4th copy of Zerofyne? Zerofyne is slightly better though for progressing the game state. overall its kinda overkill yet flavorful

I think it is the only literal hand-trap, even though the Feather Duster search means you wanna set this card for the off-chance your opponent destroys it and gives you the search, meaning the benefit of using it in Harpies is just not having to set x2 copies and get blown away by a Twin Twister...... it's not much but I guess it is.... uhh... something. If Harpie's Feather Duster ever goes to more than 1, it'll be.... I don't know what kind of game it'd be xD

I wanna try this in Dragunities. The negation is wide-spread, non-targeting, and chainable, what's there not to love? You can even chain it to its own destruction and get both effects.

Note that this is searchable by Hysteric Sign. Was going to point out that you could Sign to search this and then search Duster, but I realized you can search Duster with Sign as well. And that's when I went to re-read this card and wow, I realized that damn, this can pick Feather Duster from the grave, too. That makes Duster's Limited status in the banlist less of a problem as you can pick it back up with this.

Interesting.

Being a Hand Trap if you control a Harpie is amusing enough. It's very similar to Tachyon Transmigration, but Delta Crow - Anti-Reverse did it first.

If you activated it, it negates activated Monster Effects. Hmm...that's pretty good. Seems to apply to all opposing Monster Effects that activate, not just whatever is out or attempting to resolve at that moment. So it'll affect floaters and the like, which is awesome. And like Anti-Reverse, you can Set it normally and still use it properly.

And if you did Set it and baited removal, you get to grab Feather Duster. Uh...I know it's OCG, but that's awkward if the TCG doesn't unban Duster. And...I'm not sure I want them to.

Even crueler is that if you chain this to removal, you get both effects.

That's how it works? Huh, I thought chaining it would prevent it from being destroyed by removing itself from the field.

Cards that have been activated don't leave the Field until the chain has fully resolved, or another effect removes them/destroys them. So if you use MST on this, and this card gets chained, even though Feather Storm resolves first, it doesn't leave the Field until the chain is completely finished. As a result, MST as Link 1 will destroy the card. And in the Graveyard, post-chain, its "when destroyed by opponent's card effect" would activate, because MST destroyed it while it was in the S/T zone.
