The first girl had embarrassed herself,

Angharad wasn't the first person to attempt to Seal. There were at least a few others before her.

As it was reaching her turn, Angharad began to feel apprehensive about the Sealing. Some of the students succeeded and others had failed. It was clear that it was by no means an easy task, and in fact some of the otherwise more magically competent volunteers hadn't done so well.

Hilarious!!!

Akukho is adorable. Clumsy in a charming way.

EDIT: Do we have to wait for Draco to post next, or can we react directly to these most recent events?

In my experience, usually there's a one post a round rule, but this is draco's rp and not mine sooooooo

also thank you

If there's something important you feel you need to say, go on ahead, otherwise I'll roll us on.

No, nothing important. I was going to try drowning Aez's char as retribution for the soiling, but on reflection it's a bit early for that. I won't hold up the storyline any longer - I'm eager to get to specialist Sealing lessons with #cc6666

Possibly. That was but a simple demonstration of mid-high level magic, and we can presumably expect things to get worse as we meet more powerful characters using their magic in even more serious circumstances. This was just a controlled execution, so imagine how bad it could get in an actual fight.

Question: By what criteria are Sword students and Wand students matched? Do they tend to have similar magical abilities (ie, both proficient Light mages), or complementary abilities (ie 1 Light and 1 Dark), or do they not pick from that (ie 1 Light and 1 Fire, or whatever other combination you want, including Light + Light and Light + Dark)

Second Question (more out of curiosity): What do you mean by "The blade travels straight through women" when talking about the Guilty Thorn swords? Does this mean that they are very effective against women (because the sword passes through a woman like a knife through butter, requiring little effort to inflict deadly wounds), or that they are ineffective against women (because the sword passes through a woman like a ghost, not interacting with her flesh or organs at all)?

1: They're matched up by choice, not by element. The top student at the Academy of Sword picks their partner from Wand, then the top (remaining) Wand student (if the top Sword student chose the highest-scoring Wand student, then her salutatorian chooses whichever Sword student she wants, et cetera until there is no one left.

2: Ghosts right through them, without causing harm. It's a one-hit-kill on most men in general, but utterly useless against women.

wtf? What if the picked person doesn't want to be paired up with the person who picked them?

Anyway, thanks for answering :)

What colour is Trifle blood?

2nd question EDIT: What level is Shadow Trigger?

UPDATE:

Just posted an IC. I've made the Trifle blood red for now, but I can change it.

Fun fact: This post was originally longer, including a more detailed reaction to Akukho's screw-up and a positive reaction to the Trifle popping, which in the original version excited her. Elizabeth Claimond went further into her backstory and we saw what the first of the extra Sealing lessons was like. But then the "automatically saved post" thing that I should never have been relying on gave up on me. ;_;

But oh well. It gave me the chance to change my mind about certain things, and to not have Claimond dump her entire life story on Angharad the second they meet, which would be weird.

I don't know what direction to go into.

What are your hopes and dreams for Jonathan? As your literary offspring, you surely love him, so you are emotionally invested in his life. From there, it is just a simple matter of working backwards to work out what happened to bring about that path. Just remember to keep your plan flexible so that you can adapt it to all the curveballs that Draco will surely be throwing us.

If you want, we can work out some sort of subplot that involves both our characters - they are both Welsh, so it's more than plausible. This is just an offer, so no pressure, but if you do want to, drop me a PM about it. :)
