normally forums continue because old members leave, yes they do, but new and fresh members come. we have to let that happen and it will, we just have to give it some time to happen. people have to leave but the important thing to keep in mind is not blame the Admin for the problems. It is human nature to blame others but the fact remains that people has to accept the fact that members will come and members will go. just deal with it people.

This website is in a slump right now, if you look as of now not a lot of great cards with good pics are being created and so It's like well the quality in this site has really gone down why am I wasting my time here. That's why a lot of people would want to leave. Anyway I have some artwork backed up for some actually elementary hero looking monsters that i made, If this website is still up by the time I'm done with "Elemental Base artwork" I'll post some cards to encourage people to stay.

You should specify you can hardly find those in the Card Making forums, which, supposedly, should be the heart of the forum.

 

So anyways, leaving people are a common problem of every forum. But this forum's appeal isn't that great either. It's a big spawn of originalities on many of the sections. There's points, so everyone has to make a contest or a shop, and most of the later involve pokesplices. 1/5 of the cards have 9999 atk and def because of who-knows-why, and it's the duty of the following 7 members to yell stuff at him, most of them using exactly the same word(s). There's a new holo tutorial for who-knows-what-program every 2 days, and new threads of "Who wild win between Yu Gi Oh Character goes here and Yu Gi Oh GX! character goes here". All the contest, even if the themes are different, are exactly the same. Just copy an existing card you've made for one contest, change it's name and picture, and you're good to go. Reputation is repetitive too. You'll rarely get a rep for doing something nice, but you dare to make a double post and everyone will neg-rep you without hesitating. And I don't really appreciate the effort of the moderators, I should say. Some don't do anything besides locking threads, and sometimes there's not a clear reason specified.

 

This place needs something brand new.

There is nice peiole on the forum (I should know i've spoke to a few on Messenger) What you have to understand is that making a completely good and fresh Card Idea takes a lot of work. One major Pet Hate I have is that most people who create these great cards (browarod with his Rotators for example) Thier ideas are almost instantly stolen and screwed up by "Insert Generic Newbie Here" And yes it does feel like a Cut & Paste Job around the forum. We need members to spice things up, but the moment we cme up with something good, another 100 "2 Post n00bs" Join up and spew rubbish like "I made awsome card lol" Or "Who would win against Kiba & Ygi"

 

Come on guys & girls, let's just enjoy the great members while it lasts yeah? And remember there's more to discussion as YCM, have a chat with each other on Messenger get to know the real person! Anyways Peace Out :)

That's what I mean. There's good people here, but the ones that you remember the best are those who, well, aren't.

 

Originality is an issue that can't be helped in any way. It's like a meme. It's good the first times, but then everyone makes it, and loses it's purpose. But if it's good enough, it can have alterations that prevents it from growing old. There are many different types of cards to make, and that's preventing the card maker from growing old, even though adding the syncro feature resulted into a non-stop barrage of syncro cards.

 

You know what this place needs? A chatroom. There are 2 forums I frequent that have a nice chatroom (and one of them has a bot. Insta-win. I wonder if I can remake my old bot). This place being this active could easily hold double or triple the members than the ones I frequent.
