Could it really be that Darth Browarod is hosting a contest? Yes, it’s true! After a couple failed contests, I am back to host a new contest, this time with a better plan ;) This is a card-making contest. In this contest, entrants will be making cards to support, and make more useful, cards from early sets of the game. Every card should have a place and a use, so this is going to help some of them along the way. Each entrant will create 3-5 cards (no more, no less). These cards will relate to each other, and will have something to do with, or in some way support, a card (or cards, up to 2) from an earlier set of the TCG. Here are 2 examples: You can use either or both of these 2 cards, or you may select a card(s) from the Dark Crisis set or earlier to use. You must put the card you're going to base your set on in your entrance post (especially if reserving), so that I can tell you if that card is allowed (I reserve the right to make you choose a different one if the one you chose already has decent support :P). Summary of Entrant Duties:-Make 3-5 Cards (any combination is acceptable)-Cards must work together and must be support for the card(s) you choose-Artist Credit must be given for images used on cards-Cards must be balanced, and fit the theme-Entries are due by 8pm forum time on Friday October 10th, 2008 Entrant Application:-Username-Card(s) you're going to base your set on (Max. 2) Judges:-Myself (Darth Browarod)-The Fantastic Icyblue-Up to 3 Secret Guest Judge(s) Grading Categories:-Name/Pic-Uniqueness and flow of effect-Balance-Flow and support of set and base card(s)-Spelling/Grammar Prizes:1st Place: 3 +Reps, 1000 points, and a free name change!2nd Place: 2 +Reps, 750 points, and a free name change!3rd Place: 1 +Rep, 650 points, and a free name change!4th Place: 350 points!5th Place: 250 points! NOTE: Free name changes are optional, you don’t have to get one if you don’t want it. If you decide to get a name change, it will be posted in the Guru thread but is separate from those changes, and you can get one regardless of when your last change was, and it won’t count against your next one. As for the name change, if you read the Note in the first post, you'll see that it is separate from the Guru thread changes, so yes you can still get one :P I'm in.. Not only do the monarchs have a decent amount of support, but he is later than the latest pack you can pick from.
