Garnet laughed. "They look too weedy." Then she noticed how Stacey seemed to be furious about Joanna, and curiosity rose. Why did she seem to dislike Joanna? Suddenly a boy walked over to them and took that off Garnet's mind. "Oh hi Greg!"

 

"Hey Garnet," he said, winking. "How's that deck? Good?"

 

"It is ... what are you doing here? Aren't you meant to be with..." She quickly glanced at the others. "...them?"

 

"I left ... er, what's his name ... erm ... Mouseball in charge," answered Greg. "Hey come on, he's a good leader ... just needs an extra push or two. And anyway, I deserve a break, don't I?" Garnet smiled.

 

"I suppose so. Anyway, this is Ryu, Athrun - my brother - his girlfriend Stacey, and Mr Rhodes."

Zack entered the cafeteria, as he pushed the door open into the empty, not even anyone behind the counter. It was strange, but he liked being alone. He walked over, moving left and right past table after table until he reached a booth seat in the back. He slid in the booth, and sat there, wondering his own thoughts. Great Angel Dragon appeared beside him, and said "Don't worry about it, you'll find someone." Zack then said as he rolled his eyes "No one ever understands. Well, at least you don't. That's why I almost tell no one. I can't have a relationship with anyone. I know it, I don't know how, and I don't know why, but I can't. I don't want to hear another word about this, especially since you continually pester me about it, when I simply tell you I'm fine."

 

Great Angel Dragon then said "You didn't get much sleep recently, have you?" Zack then plopped his head on the table, and said in a calm tone, with his face buried in the table "Nope."

Ryu then looked at his watch."Okay all I have to do is make it in class for the last 3 minutes and I'm off the hook, then I need to go get Lucy a lunch since she skipped, see ya guys!" he runs off to class and acts as if he's been actually doing work, his new brainpower easily finished the homework as he ran to his room and made two lunches."she said she'd wait by the cliff."

After class AJ began to pack his things up and leave when Joanna came to the front to speak to him. "Excuse me sir. Did Athrun say where he was going to be this afternoon? He said he wanted to meet me for lunch after my class." AJ looked up at her.

 

"Actually Athrun said to tell you he won't be able to make it. Something else came up." Joanna looked curious.

 

"Something else? Nothing wrong is there?" AJ smiled.

 

"No, nothings wrong, but he did say something about a girlfriend......" Joanna's eyes widened.

 

"W-What....?" AJ looked down at her.

 

"Hm? is everything ok?" she forced a smile.

 

"Yes sir, everything is fine." She turned on her hells and began to walk from the classroom. AJ looked after her.

 

"What's going on?" he thought as the female Obelisk exitted the room.

Lucy still sat by the edge of the cliff, her heavily falling tears glimmering in the sunlight before splashing in the water below, causing it to ripple slightly every time her tears came into contact with the water. She tried her best to stop crying, but she had never been so scared before.

Something that sounded like a timer went off in Garnet's bag. She quickly slapped it, stopping it. "Sorry guys, time calls. Greg and I need to get going. It was nice to see you Mr Rhodes." She grabbed Greg and they teleported away into the secret underground base.

Athrun looked down at his watch and noticed what time it was. "Oh crud. i have to get going! Class is in 5 minutes." He turns to go but Stacy turns him arund and kisses him.

 

"I'll see you later At-kun." she says and Athrun blushes.

 

"Heh,...ye-y-yeah, see you later Stacy." After he clears himself out he runs towards the acadmey.

Zack picked his head up, and floods of people wooshed into the cafeteria, and the people in hairnets and aprons appeared behind the counter. Zack smelled the food behind the counter, which made a delicious aroma, and he immediately picked his head up and said cheerfully "Food!" He slid out of the red booth seat and walked over to the glass counter as he swurved past lunch table after lunch table. He grabbed a tray and plate, and got in line. When it was finally his turn, he asked for the ever-so-delicious chicken pot pie. The lunch attendant slapped the delicious piece of cuisine on his plate, and he grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler near the entrance that he somehow missed.

 

He grabbed a fork from a small, black, plastic cup next to the glass case, and put it on his tray. He swurved past the lunch tables again to the back of the cafeteria, where almost no student dare tread. He went back to the same table, and set his tray down. Great Angel Dragon then said to Zack "Sometimes, I can't tell if you simply are so pathetic as to ignore your problems, or so strong as to not let them affect you."

Five minutes later Garnet said goodbye to the group in the cabin, then teleported to her next class. She entered and sat down near the back. Seeing as the teacher wasn't there yet she quickly dived into her bag and drew out the timer that had gone off. She tweaked one of the dials and silenced it, before she stowed it back in. She could sense no one had seen her.

Luke walks out of the class room again, after another class with Mr. Muligan, that makes the third class in a row he's had to sit hoping that he wouldn't get asked a question that he didn't know and winding up geting stared down by the teacher, as he steps out of the room and to the beach he breaths a sigh of relief and wanders down to the beach.

Zack shrugged and turned to Great Angel Dragon "Well, maybe I'm both, or maybe I'm neither." He then picked up his fork and began eating his pot pie. He almost inhaled his entire lunch, and chugged his water bottle. He let out a loud burp, which he could almost swear that it could've beem heard for miles. He slid out of the booth seat, and went around the sea of people and lunch tables towards the exit. He then pulled open the cafeteria door, and ran towards the academy building. He opened his large angel wings and used them to increase his running speed, until he was eventually flying at high speeds barely above the ground. He made it to the academy building, when he realized he forgot his bag.

 

Great Angel Dragon appeared, with his bag in hand and said "Or maybe you're just forgetful." Zack entered the academy building by pushing open the door, and looked for the 509 classroom. His class was swarming strategies.

Garnet raised an eyebrow but said nothing as she got up. She followed her father outside and wondered what this was about. She thought back and remembered she hadn't sold anything at all. Was her dad going to talk to her about Greg and his mates? But that was impossible ... no one knew about the underground cabin, except for a selected few, usually people who were tricky enough to get in. Whatever the reason, she waited to hear it.

Garnet almost sighed out loud. She then heard her father's question and pondered. "No ... I was busy elsewhere. Why, what's the matter? I can't find anything abnormal with Stacey ... except she seems to hate Joanna. When Mr Rhodes mentioned Joanna, she immediately gritted her teeth. I doubt this is jealousy; it feels like someone's pulling the strings backstage..."

When Zack entered the room, no one was in it. It was completely empty. He then remembered that the teacher was sick today, and they couldn't find a substitute. In retrospect, perhaps making a school on an island in the middle of nowhere was not the best idea. He knew that he couldn't go to the other classes, because other groups of students were there. He then decided to sit out in the hall next to the room for his next period. He looked on his schedule, and as it seems, his next class was being tought by AJ, a former student here.

 

He walked straight down the hall to the left, and saw AJ and Garnet talking. In one swift motion, and nonschelantly turned around and exitted that hallway, without losing momentum. He made it seem like he went down the wrong hallway.

"This has nothing to do with hooking anyone up." AJ smirks. "You'll get a rare oppritunity to do something like this so use it wisely. I'm giving you permission to spy on Athrun and Stacy. Find out why Stacy fansies Athrun and vice versa. I can count on you for this kind of work right?" he said.
