The Dark Storm and Ice Blast attacks simply stopped existing "Catedral!" A human voice shouted as two shockwaves shot from the air, where a lone human stood "Zach, today you die" Max said with a wide grin "And I'm going to enjoy ripping the life from your lungs. Hey, that's a good idea, I'm gonna rip your lungs right out of your chest and watch you suffocate!" he looked at Megadramon "You, I'm just going to kill repeatedly until I find an evolution of yours that I like, so you'll get the less painful way out." He paused for a beat and said, angrily, "You're welcome!"

[Mr. Hyde]

Zach's eyes widened. "Oh sheet...for real...you're here." Zach sighed. "We can't take him down. He's too strong..." Carly didn't even know who Max was.

"Why is a human making threats towards us. He himself without a digimon cannot take us. Get'em Beta!" Beta paused. Frozen with fear. "What's wrong!"

"That....thing...is pure evil! I'm only a Champion. Whatever that...thing is...we can't beat it!"

"...yeah...sure..." BlackGuilmon said before shaking Liya off and turning away, continuing down the hall with the corrupted pieces of Omnimon.

Vincent meanwhile stayed and helped Liya up.

"Don't worry so much about him. Deep down he knows he's strong like you say, but with all the brainwashing and corruption he's been through, he just can't really admit it. But if all goes well, he will. He'll see his own worth." Vincet gave Liya a quick kiss on the cheek, "That's what Ogudomon said before we came here, he'd consider BG as great as the Demon Lords...or something like that...my memory's a little sketchy, but still, it should make him happy. Either way though, whether he shows it or not I'm sure he's happy with your complementing him."

 

"...whatever." PawnChessmon replied silently to the 'ghost' in her head, "I didn't purposly try to download it, it just sort of did. If that stupid rock had actually wanted to, he could have come back. But he didn't. And don't try to blame it on me, I tried to help, we all did. Except you. It was all because of you. You gave your powers over to Sal, and it sent Gotsumon into a depression." PawnChessmon swung her staff at the ghostly digimon, "And then he thought he wasn't worthy of your powers, so of course I don't think I am! And if you care so much, why didn't you show up like this for him and tell him that he was worthy of that power he had!"

((frightened with fear... The Department of Redundancy Department must be open pretty late today))

 

"I am your GOD!" Max roared "You will address me as such or I will kill the snake." His malicious grin that spoke of an eternity only of hatred and rage resurfaced "And you can guess what I'm going to do to a pretty thing like you." He told Carly with a larger smile that showed his teeth "Now, kill Zach and I'll let you two go on about your business"

 

"Stubborn little kiss ass isn't he?" Liya mused, shaking her head and going back to the group "Anyone know why in the hell Lilithmon needs a four mile long tunnel that's too small to fly through?" She asked, getting a bunch of negative grumbles in response from the other three Digimon.

 

"I gave my Spirits to no one. Sal STOLE them. He broke into the very mainframe of the Gungnir and ripped out the Spirit. Had I the ability to do so, I would have stopped him. However, I can only communicate with holders of the Spirits of Earth, and, for some reason, you. Probably because Gotsumon's data is read in the same way as a Spirit when it's in your body, but like a Digimon when it's in his own. The data is inside you, and it can be siphoned out easily, once you have enough of it. Gotsumon is the living incarnation of the Fusion Spirit of Earth. That's why he was so unstable once both Sals got the Spirits, it activated the Spirit in him and weakened him immensely. That's why Keila was able to kill him so easily. All you need to do is rip the Spirit out of one of the Sals and absorb it. I will then reappear and finish the job. There will be no pain, however, I cannot say how much Gotsumon will remember, so you need to bear with him." With that, the ghost faded away into nothingness.

 

((By the way, the Grumblemon Sal was talking to earlier is now nothing more than a hallucination brought on by Sal's...being Sal... despite Blaze's intentions))

Carly looked at Zach who looked back at her. Their eyes connected and her fear clashed with his overconfidence. Zach smirked. "You USE to be my God. Now..i play by Huanglongmon's rules. Let's get him Megadramon!" Megadramon grinned.

"Alright! Suicide missions are fun! DARK STORM!!!" Megadramon shot millions of more missles towards Max. Carly just sat on Seadramons head. Just waiting for it all to be over. Seadramon on the other hand was watching what would be an ultimately failed attempt by Zach. He shook his head side to side.

"Zach...you idiot!" Seadramon yelled. Zach laughed.

"That's me."

[ZhaneX]

"Yeah." Vincent agreed, smiling when he heard BlackGuilmon grumbling from farther ahead, "And if you're getting tired, I could always carry you." Vincent said, bending down slightly and offering his arms out.

BlackGuilmon meanwhile was thinking of the mission that had been given to him, killing a Royal Knight when one tried to come and rescue that girl. Considering that Omnimon had more cntact with them than he had, he thought that asking the former #2 Knight might be a good idea to find out which Knight might be most likely to come. If he knew that, he could start on a strategy.

"So, do either of you have any idea which of the Royal Knights might come to try and rescue the girl being held here?" He said, addressing the two corrupt halves of Omnimon he was now walking alongside.

 

"Alright then..." PawnChessmon said in a whisper, "Earlier Gotsumon sorta phased into the form of Gigasmon, so I assume that Spirit will do."

Turning away from the apparition, she headed back to where Sal was along with the rather drunk seeming Gururumon.

"Hey Sal, I need you to do something real quick!" PawnChessmon said before raising her staff up and attempting to smash Sal's head with it.

Max caught the missiles and sent them flying at Carly and Seadramon "That's the problem, that fossil has rules. I don't." His malicious smile shot to his face again "All I want is for every living thing to meet or exceed my expectations. That's why I had this pathetic boy's mind disappear to allow me to take him as a host, he had far less DigiSoul than was needed to bring Daemon to Wrath Mode, so, I had him removed from the equation."

 

"Well it could be ...mon" BlueGeoGreymon suggested

 

"Still asleep." BlackGarurumon informed him

 

"What about ....mon?"

 

"Same situation"

 

"Examon?"

 

"Probably. He's the big gun when we aren't there, and if you're running headlong into a Demon Lady's palace, you need the biggest gun you can get"

 

"You would know, but, in case you forgot, Examon has a sword"

 

"Yeah, and unlike you, he doesn't have to vomit every time he wants to stab something"

 

"You're one to talk, where the hell do you think the Garuru Cannon comes from?"

[Mr. Hyde]

Seadramon snapped out of his fear long enough to shoot a jet of freezing water towards the missles freezing them in midair. All the missles fell into the ocean. Zach spoke, "That is bull crap!" Megadramon digivolved into Machinedramon and landed on the beach.

"Giga Cannon!" Two giant beams fired out of the cannons on it's back. Beta couldn't believe the amount of courage...or stupidity...that Zach and Machinedramon had. Probably stupidity.

Aero woke up. She was a Chibomon. She shook herself awake and digivolved into Veemon. She looked at the cracked Digiegg that still had not revealed what was inside.

 

((The digiegg's still yours. Btw, what about Veemon -> Exveemon -> Paildramon -> Imperialdramon -> Imperialdramon FM))

((Paildramon is a DNA Digimon, I don't consider him to be ExVeemon's evolution))

 

"Faster, faster, faster!" Max said as the Giga Cannon blasts accelerated harmlessly through him and angled directly at Seadramon again "That all?" He asked with his signature grin "Last chance before I come up there and kill you"

 

The egg hatched into a glowing ball of light that instantly grew to be as big as Aero and then settled into a common Koromon that plopped down next to his mother

"Examon huh..." BlackGuilmon mused, "He's a DNA digivolution, just like you guys-" BlackGuilmon started, before stopping when the two corrupt digimon started arguing, "Hey, if you two could stop for just a second, I was going to ask something. Examon's just like you guys as Omnimon, a DNA Digivolved Digimon. Since you're of the same kind, do you have any recommendations for defeating a DNA Digimon?"

[Mr. Hyde]

((Well i'll have to think of another digimon line other than Veedramon or ExVeemon unless Veedramon can digivolve into something else.))

 

Zach sighed. "Screw this. We can't win! Let's get back to the ship!" Machinedramon nodded and dedigivolved into Megadramon. They flew off. "WAIT! CARLY!" Megadramon nodded and shot a grappling claw that grabbed Seadramon. Seadramon coiled his tail....and or body around Carly. Megadramon flew to the Gungir.

Aero covered her mouth. She gasped and hugged the little Koromon tightly.

((I like my Spirit of Earth better. Yours would be good too, only if he constantly talks like Hulk Hogan, especially like Hulk Hogan in any given Rocky Movie.

Also, of course Sal wouldn't mourn, he knew Gotsumon for maybe half an hour and never spoke a word to him, not to mention Gotsumon apparently died of emoness. Considering the last things he heard Gotsumon say were 'complete the Earth spirit again', he would assume that its in his right to absorb the data.))

 

Sal blinked, and gave a sharp eep before tucking his head in, ducking and rolling out of the way of the Chessmon's staff. He got up again and brushed himself off.

"Look, next time you need to practice brain surgery, ask first before you attempt to break my skull open. I need it, you see." he explained.

"Who da' ell's dat?" Grumblemon's spirit said with crossed arms and a raised eyebrow, looking towards the spirit of AncientVolcamon. "'ooks a lil' li' me... bu' I was' neva THAT o'bese." he said with a chuckle and shake of his head. Sal cocked an eyebrow, looked towards the spirit of Grumblemon and then across where he was looking, seeing nothing.

"Great... the figments of my imagination now have figments of their imagination... this is a new development..." he muttered.

 

((Btw, I consider this Grumblemon-Spirit to be the anthropomorphization of the part of AncientVolcamon's mind and heart dedicated to fixing things, making things stronger, and repairing object. Ie, his dedication and positive passions- left with the Spirit. I'm going to consider your A.Volcamon spirit to be the remainder of his mind/heart (including his violent passions, protective instincts, fury, and short-temper), which would explain why Grumblemon seems much more laid back than the other.

 

The reason mainly being that I can't consider that spirit of A.Volcamon to be the entire thing, considering he thinks a human 'stole' the spirits. Yes, a human stole the Spirits. The spirits made FOR the humans. A human stole them from... a ship, where nobody else was going to find it. Really. Hm. Yeah, it makes more sense to assume he's simply the part of the heart/mind that can't comprehend what the Spirits were made for.))

Seri giggled a little. "Yes, Coelamon, you can go to the ocean whenever you want. It's just right outside."

Coelamon whined. "Yeah, but it's not as fun if you're not outside too. Oh well." He sulked a little bit, then stretched and waddled out towards the door. Seri giggled a little more at his retreating figure.

"So Sam where are we going to now?" Kotemon asked his human partner. Sammy was packing a bag full of things that you would need to survive in extreme conditions. "And why are we packing?" Sammy stopped and thought about it.

"First question, I don't know. I gues we're just going to have to figure it out along the way. Second question, When we we're in the desert we we're too hot and could have got hear stroke or sunburnt. And when we were in the ice we we're too cold and almost froze. I think we need to prepare for any possible enviroment." Sammy continued packing his bag until there was no more space left inside. "Ok. Done." Sammy told Kotemon proudly.

"Good. If you werent we would end up carrying things."

"Now all I have to do is get some more suitable clothes." Kotemon sat down and started swinging his legs back and forth.

"Why don't you just get some from the marines?" Kotemon joked.

"Thats a brilliant idea!" Sammy proclaimed and off.

What did I do now? Kotemon wondered. He sat there patiently until Sammy returned. Instead of his usual shirt and jeans, He was wearing off duty digi-marine cold weather gear aswell as some stuff that looked a little out of place. "Hey, Why does that scarf say property of Jimmy?"

"No reason," Sammy said putting the rucksack on his back, there was a shout from where Sammy had come back from, "Hey where did my scarf go? My mom gave me that!". Sammy's face put on a very suspicious look, "Okay maybe we should get going."

Kotemon and Sammy set off for the digi-marine sanctioned exit of 'The Labyrinth' ready for their journey into the unknown.

Max shook his head "Yes, run away you little coward! RUN FROM YOUR FATE!" He laughed maniacally and vanished in a purple flame, his laughter echoing long after he disappeared

 

Koromon wrapped his ears around the strange blue creature hugging him "Who?" the little ball Digimon asked, tilting to one side in a gesture of curiosity.

 

"Approach it like you're fighting two Digimon at the same time." BGGreymon said wisely "Don't ever think of Examon as one Digimon opponent or you have already lost. Think of Examon as if he were two separate Digimon fighting in tandem."

 

BGarurumon nodded wisely "A DNA Digimon can see through two pairs of eyes, and they don't always have to be focused on the same thing. Just because Examon is staring straight ahead doesn't mean that one of the dragons is scanning the area behind him."

 

((Yours is much more entertaining but mine's the true one, yours is just Grumblemon and he's insane))

[Proto]

Suddenly a large burst of energy appeared around in front of Zach and out came a cackling laughter. "Man seriously, you gotta think more you really think I was just playing a game of charades when I was on the top of Gungnir?" Then out from the explosion emerged Belphemon, it seemed quite pleased about something and the power of its Rage Mode. The Demon Lord continued its laughter as its chains rattled, and began staring at Zach with a bloodshot eye. "You think that I would actually let you pass here" as the digimon launched a purple fireball at the Megadramon, cackling like a Hyena.

Duke noticed the demons and chased after them, his metal feet pounding the snow and he zoomed past Mistymon and managed to grab onto the leg of one of the fleeing IceDevimon. 'Come on down' he chanted, but the demon was stronger then he looked, taking Duke for a ride as he rose into the air. Duke watched the ground below and seriously considered whether or not this was in fact a good idea, like the spinning attack he tried before. 'Sorry, but I won't be able to help you find your partner' he called to Mistymon.

[Blackstone Dresden]

A child with white blond hair and a dozen small angel wings and wearing pure white robes glided up to Duke, unaffected by the cold despite his lack of shoes and minimal clothing "Thank you IceDevimon" He said, "But, I'd prefer it if we carried out this conversation on the ground. Grand Cross." He then executed the IceDevimon, sending Duke falling into the snow below, which hardened into ice just before he hit "Thank you again IceDevimon, but I think my new battery and I should have a talk in private. Divine Feet." He slammed into the ground and the pure force of his impact turned all Digimon within sight, save Duke and Mistymon, into their DigiEgg forms. He simply let Mistymon run away unscathed.

[The Warden]

Duke fell to the hard ice and his own body cracked it on impact. Despite this, he managed to get back up and look at the boy. In his eyes he could see determination, power, and most horrifying of all, hatred. He was shaking, not from the cold, but from the weird power the boy seemed to emanate. 'Who are you? And why do you refer to me as your battery?' he sheepishly demanded. He noticed the carnage the boy had wrought, and knew it to be a Digimon, a powerful one at that.

[Blackstone Dresden]

"My name is Lucemon, I'm sure you've heard of me. The strongest of the Demon Lords, despite that arrogant bastard Daemon having a Super Ultimate mode. I have come for you, Duke. I have come to give you the power of a GOD!" As he said that last word, he aged to his teens and grew to just under five-and-a-half feet tall. His hair grew out to the middle of his band and bangs swooped over his left eye. His wings also grew, resembling an angel's wings instead of a chicken's, with the lower left wing turning black, and his robes grew out and became more covering. Finally, a long scarf appeared around each arm, the tips trailing off his wrists.

[The Warden]

Duke began shivying back, but tyring to make it look subtle. 'I heard your name mentioned, Lucemon, based off the fallen angel Lucifer and no doubt you share the same fate as him' he remarked. 'But the power of a god is too much, really it is. I don't want to be like Hunaglongmon and....' he caught himself. 'Like Huanglongmon' he repeated. 'Or else I will swallow you like dust' echoed in his mind. He stopped scooting back and lost himself in thought. 'Why does Ogudomon want the world so badly, being a god would be dull since omnipotence takes the fun out of everything. Huanglongmon was so bored with is life that he dedicated it too sleep' he added.

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Huanglongmon is a fool who's very presence in the Digital World would cause it to end. Ogudomon can at least set foot in the Digital World, had he not been trapped by Huanglongmon's pathetic Royal Knights, that is. Huanglongmon is the monster here, he tried to murder his own brother, all Ogudomon did was try to live in peace the only way that he possibly could, by making sure that every Digimon was Dark so that his existence wouldn't kill them. Huanglongmon, meanwhile, allows the weak to be abused and deleted, Ogudomon is trying to make sure that there are no weak to be abused or deleted. He's at least doing SOMETHING, would you rather have a world where the strong survive and the weak only live to die?"

[ZhaneX]

"Like I'm fighting two Digimon at once..." BlackGuilmon mused, "Thanks for the advice."

BlackGuilmon then looked behind them and saw that Vincent and Liya had fallen somewhat behind.

"Hey you two! Hurry it up!" he yelled back to them.

"Yeah yeah!" Vincent yelled back before turning back to Liya, "So do you want me to carry you?" he asked with a sly smile.

 

"Figment of your imagination has a figment of his imagination?" PawnChessmon questioned out loud before bursting into laughter, "That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard!" She yelled out before stopping her laughter, "Anyway, I've got the bloody Warrior of Earth in my head, yelling for me to take at least one of the Earth Spirits from you, since he thinks it'll revive Gotsumon. So do you want to hand over Gigasmon's Spirit willingly, or do I go Queen on you and beat it out of you?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"I can walk" Liya said, easily catching up to the rest of the group "And, I'm probably faster than you anyway" she said, winking at Vincent over her shoulder "Better hurry up."

 

"Wrong Sal. This one only has the Human Spirit of Earth, you need the Sal with the Beast Spirit of Earth." AncientVolcamon's voice told PawnChessmon, talking about Sal being cloned like it was no big deal, which, since all Digimon are basically mass-produced anyway, made sense from his standpoint "The Sal you're looking for has a DemiDevimon, this Sal has Duftmon-dono"

[ZhaneX]

"Oh yeah?" Vincent said raising an eyebrow before darting after Liya, "Well probably." he said, catching up to and keeping pace with Liya and the Digimon.

BlackGuilmon meanwhile was just glad that they'd caught up. It'd be a terrible embarrasment for him if they reached where Lilithmon was, and then they wound up waiting for the humans to get there.

 

"What? Since when can-...oh who cares." PawnChessmon said, leveling her staff to Sal's chin, "There's like, two of you right? Where's the other one, he's got a...DemiDevimon right? Where is he?"

[Hydra of Ages]

Sal blinked at the Pawnchessmon. "Well firstly, I don't have the Beast Spirit of Earth, as you seem to have figured out on your own. And If you try to beat it out of me, then you'll have a wolf Royal Knight chomping on your lack of a neck, right Gururu?" he said, glancing over at the shewolf, who gave another drunken hic and nodded dimly, still smiling.

"As for my doppleganger..." Sal said with a hm. "I would assume he lives within the Bizzaroworld, and is more than likely being threatened by a WhitePawnchessmon about MY whereabouts. Just a theory, of course."

"...ight', the beas' 'pirit." Spirit-Grumblemon muttered, stroking his chin a little. "...ight... uh... 'where di I 'put that agein?" he thought aloud.

Mistymon stared blankly, then cursed as he saw Lucemon descend. "A Demon Lord! Bah... not now..." he muttered to himself. "I can't take on a Demon Lord alone, especially not Lucemon, and especially while not at my full strength and without my human. I could probably distract him long enough to allow Duke a chance to escape, then flee into Wichelny before I get deleted, but... Ceila's in the area somewhere, and that would leave her alone with the Demon Lord of the Cardinal Sin of Pride. Damn... could there be a worse time for this? Let's see... option, options. I could run, find Ceila and escape, but I would be giving up Duke to become a battery for Lucemon and as such, bolster Ogudomon's forces with a Spirit Warrior. I could distract Lucemon, allow Duke to escape and slip away myself, but I would be leaving Ceila to possibly be caught. Or, I could attack Lucemon with all my power and not run away, more than likely deleting myself in the process... and chances are, my Egg would probably be deleted without the special guards Huanglongmon usually puts on the Royal Knight eggs... or even worse, corrupted by Ogudomon and bolstering their forces with another fallen Knight. Damn. Well, I have to do something, and do it soon.
