Almost every series with mons drop the Japanese names for the mons when the English ones appear, because there's nothing wrong with said names. I, for one, like Omnimon better as a name because it reminds me of my childhood. You're so pro... btw Shoutmon's personality is much more like Naruto then Guilmon. As for looks; still not even close. But I don't remember Guilmon being eccentric, loud, and (apparently) having an amazing singing voice.In terms of actual character and behaviour, they're as far apart as you can get.
