-Griffin
I hate L&DD(1800 ATK), Fluff Token. They had Gorz (2700 ATK) and 5200 LP.Standby, get Treeborn by using it until L&DD is @800. MP1, get Level Eater. Tribute Treeborn, Eater and Fluff for Beast King B to kill Gorz. Discard Subsitoad for Swap Frog. Total 4800 ATK. Opponent sighs that they get a final turn. Summon Level Eater from BKB. Swing for game. <3 Discuss the epic tribute fodder, wall, and added damage that is Level Eater. Also makes the '2 or more' requirement on some synchros easy. Azuh
I just don't get why people where I live dont respect this card as they should. I mean, I find tonnes of them in the 50 cent Common Box in my card shop. But then again, I did find a lot of Frogs in there too. >_:>

Toffee.
Thing is, people usually think the "Cant be tirubuted except for a tribute summon" part is what makes him "bad". Heaven forbid you can use something that isnt a Frog for a rapid fire death-cannon. But srsly, Level Eater is seriously awesome.
-Griffin
I understand tributing this won't give Inverz their effects but:* They'll probably use Arma/Grapher anyway to dump Scout* They'll have plenty of high levels which means these could swarm for damage/to be a nice buffer against attacks.* Just having them Tribute Summoned activates the extra-normal-summon clause on their Level 4, and lets you use both of their s/t support cards. So, with them announced, is this playable there?
The ReBeL
Lv Eater is the greatest grave card. I mean he works in any and evry the has a least 2 sychros. i mean nothing is wrong with him. Monarchs and stuff love him more then the frog. Why will he be limited next list. Awesome for evrything. Armageddon knight yes. Grepher is good to. lightsworn. 3 of these and treeborn in the grave and judgement will OTK greatness. It makes life easier. esecially since he is not limited so he becomes a threat and you will have more than just him for your opponent to deal with. Sephiroth_The_Legend
so very useful. needs a somewhat dedicated deck to be used in. can't simply be splashed into everything.

Toffee.
trap monsters will woop with monarchs......wut Treeborn is already fine as is for that job. Level Eater requires a bit more effort, but lets you run more DARKs.(provided, you want to use DAD/Allure/etc)

BehindTheMask
Terrible. I don't see a /sarcasm thingy in that post comrades.......... Good card is awesome. I was being serious. This card doesn't really do anything. In any deck that would need the tribute fodder/ level decrease, treeborn frog does it better. Much more easily dumpable to the grave, even though Level eater has more total cards to dump it. Anything card worth sending LE to the grave from the deck/hand has better targets to dump. Don't even begin to say "well, its good fodder for monarchs." Frog is hugely more playable, has more synergy, and allows decks that have a high tribute count to thrive. Level eater requires you to already have board position with another big monster, and even then, why'd you risk a BTH/Torrential tribute, when you can just wait? Dr. Cakey
'Kay, normally your rained-down one word judgments I find amusing, but here I must take offense. 1. Level Eater kindly lets you keep a backrow.2. Level Eater works during the Main Phase, meaning it can be used the turn it's dumped.3. Level Eater can be used multiple times in the same turn.4. Treeborn Frog is a Tribute tool, Level Eater is a Synchro tool. I run 3 of these in my Quickdraw variant deck. One of my favorite combos has to be discarding it for Quickdraw, then Normal Summoning Dandylion to get a Junk Destroyer that can kill another card. You are over committing to the field the turn, if you can play Level Eater and have Backrow, just to commit to the field more with a Tribute/Synchro.3) Why would you ever use this more than once per turn...hell, why would you need to?4) Level eater is a terrible synchro tool, considering you gain no star levels for using him, while treeborn can turn a level 7 to a level 8. Unless you wanted to play mis-matched tuners and non-tuners, so that Level eater can be some what useful to make the other synchro(i.e. You have a level 5 out, with a level 2 tuner, and you want a level 6), but even then I'd take the level bump with tree born to hit the better level(7->8 over 7-> 6). I've played QD varients with level eater. Level eater sucks compared to treeborn frog, ESPECIALLY when going to junk destroyer. Reviving Treeborn , then play Quick Draw, discard dandy(Special Summon) nets you 3 card destroyed. You should never ever need more than 3 cards for JD, especially with the threat of Starlight Road. In QD, I'd rather play more useful cards, especially considering the lack of good ways to put Level Eater in grave(other than fooli...no wait, I'd rather use Foolish for Dandylion, and Drill Warrior to pitch Dandy). Dr. Cakey
I have one more argument: Level Eater looks awesomer than Treeborn Frog. EDIT: Wait, controlling Quickdraw isn't "controlling the board" (well, it is, since you're about to...you know what I mean). It's...having a monster in your hand.
