Dude. Learn something about music. Avenged Sevenfold and those bands are more alternative metal, and metalcore is closer to hardcore punk. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. You have even made replies to this thread with grindcore, which has less to do with metal than metalcore.... I mean, seriously. Let's get the topic back to metal again instead of stupid arguing. Summary: There's good and bad metal bands. There's good and bad metalcore bands. There's good and bad hardcore bands. Deal with it. Yes its true, that's very true but is like you said in these days bands have to put effort if thay want to be called Metal, the sacrifice is big but its all for the awesome music that matters. I'm saying that before 2006, Metalcore was a pretty never filled with generic band/"poser" band that sound like every other band in this genre. Post 2006, lots of kids just rip off bands like AILD and Killswitch Engage with adding anything new to the genre. Not saying that Metalcore is a great genre that was disgrace but the genre got a lot of bad rap since post 2006, those "poser" stuff became the poster image of metalcore. Glad that you like The Chariot. They're probably one of the best band to see live. So much fun! And yeah their metalcore with their vocalist being the original vocalist of Norma Jean and only featured in their Bless The Martyr, And Kiss The Child album.
