Fake Cards in Real Duels?

Just as the name suggests:
Have you, or do you, use the cards you make here at YCM in duels (Non tournament/official duels of course)

My friends and I do this sometimes and it's fun, but it does get boring after a while since you can't use the cards at tournaments

No, but my friends and I have thought about proxying cards for use in our duels against each other, and we have played with Deck Masters before, which is a lot harder than it seems. Most Deck Master abilities are either too powerful or too difficult to pull off for their effect.

Well no, but it just feels wierd because if you're like me you want to use them in tournaments, but you can't

I have some times. The only good duels I've had with created cards were with my Machine Emperor deck. Oh, and Parasites weren't too bad.

Oh course, but it would be nice to just make "proxies" for the anime cards, like Excalibur *goes to california* for casual duels.

You may have misunderstood me. I was being sarcastic regarding "it gets boring because you can't use them in tournaments", as if TC was implying tournaments are the only way the game can be fun. Certainly, competitions are MORE fun.

when first found this website though I printed some off a set called the Silence Dragons and it was very fun because it was something different. I miss my Dragons *Crys* (they got wet)

Yes actually quite a lot used the fallow: Dragonic Tribe (which ran 3 D. Tribes which was hard to find/ also this format), Soul of Justice (this format), Star Birds (last format), Fiendish Lords (the format before last), Shooting Stars (tele-DAD format... that was a mistake), and Deathbounds (during last format). like seeing how custom cards considered balanced by friends and other would play in the current metas. Its fun for a night when u have a friend over and ur both drinking.

Custom cards printed and even drawn are fun. You just need to work on balance (I personally let my friends see them beforehand and tell me if they think something is too powerful, I then neft it to death at times and explain what some combos are).

Those things are only fun if its a versatile Deck (like an anime Deck but actually useful). 1 strategy Decks get boring really fast and it wouldn't be worth the ink.

i've done this before, i played a set of cards called "legacy heroes" last format, and the format before, i used "Dragoniblades" and the format before that i used "millenia" cards, sadly those cards got deleted, but this format i use "six-bladers", and "undergrave" cards

EDIT - i forgot, i also used "shoguns" last format too, but the got deleted as well

I did, i loved it too, deck was mostly hard to use due to too many high level cards based off of our (me and my friends) story. Saddly, the friend who was making the cards semi-real lost intrest in Yugioh.

but Deck Master duels with completely custom cards is so FUN.
And to the OP, yes, it is very fun to play a duel or two with custom cards in your decks :3

Sadly, I don't have anyone to play yugioh with IRL anymore. If I did and they allowed me to use custom cards, I'd probably just try using my archetypes and some of the generic cards I made to see how powerful they are.

I use my Vanillas and Straw Hat decks on a regular basis. All of my friends make cards here and print them out and we duel with them all of the time. the only bad time was when we started to use real cards with them and my friends Fallen Deck with Strike Ninja and DAD raped a little too hard. I even take them to school and use them.
