Ok i am confused someone run me through how these cards work From Start to Finish

It pretty much works like this: Exceed Monsters go into the Extra Deck and instead of having a Level they have a Rank which is displayed on the opposite side of where Levels are currently. So far the Rank has been shown to be equal to the Levels of the necessary Exceed Material Monsters. To Exceed Summon you need to have two (for now) face-up monsters your side of the field whose individual Levels must both be equal to the Rank of the Monster you're trying to Exceed Summon (ex. Rank 4 = Level 4 + Level 4). After successfully Exceed Summoning you take the Exceed Material Monsters and Underlay them under the Exceed Monster to be used for effects later.

Yup. Sounds pretty cool to me. I can't wait to see Exceed Glads. And I'm gonna assume that we won't be seeing many high Rank Exceed monsters. Probably just 2, 3, 4 and 5 for now.

Rank 1 Exceed = Formula Monarch Trolling

Rank 2 Exceed = Diva Trolling

Rank 3 Exceed = Lightsworn Trolling?

Rank 4 Exceed = Maximum Trolling BD

The manga disagrees. from what I can tell anyway.

How does the Manga differ? I read the chapter and nothing seems to contradict what I've said.

So far, the two OCG Exceed Monster's Rank has been equal to the level of it's material monsters.

Also, I'm going to suggest the notion that Exceed monsters are immune to any affect that refers to a monster's Level.

With my crappy skills I can somewhat confirm the names ofthe above cards.

Zubaba Knight
Ganbara Knight
No.39 Aspiring King Hope
Excess Image
Excess Effect

Shriek has a different effect listed for Zubaba Knight:

"When this card attacks a face-up defense position monster, destroy it without applying damage calculation."

I'd rather prefer the one posted in this topic is real....but I think sadly, that one is real. The rest match up to what's posted here though.

Well rather than the card frame being a colour, it is decorated as shooting star or space warp. It seem rank 4 is equalivent to level 8 and once again another monster with 2500 ATK it's could be his ace (I'm hoping it's not after looking at his effect). if 4 is equalivent to 8, imagine rank 12 is equal to level 24 lmao. Bit perhap that the reason since the card's space is limited to 12 stars so a rank would equal to 2 level star. Well at least we know that rank will have their own feature and surely to add something about level because there a lot of cards that regard in changing level and destroying specific level as well.

I guess we have to wait for official info. But if it really turns out that Ranks =/= Levels... *MAXIMUM EXCEED TROLLING.jpg*

Oi yo, talk about level 4 2500 beatstick.... But I doubt it would be 1 for 1, more like 2 for 1 make sense but if rank is not treated in level then that even more trolling

Rank not counting as level would kind of make sense with their name...they've exceeded the standards for levels that other monsters have to abide by. It also gives them a lot of gimmicks as discussed previously.

Good point, I guess that would define exceed as in surpassing the standard law of the monster's functionality so that mean there will be cards that can't affect them regarding level issues. At least we can still adjust monsters' levels before exceed summoning. But it is the first time this game contain overlaying part but of course MTG and duel masters does, so you could say this is a late bloomer
