I've stared at, and tested, this deck since you posted....and for the love of God I can't find anything to cut. T-T

yaiknorite? ._.

But keeping the size at 42 is no good... That lowers the chance of Celfon working.

Dammit.

If I draw it too late, I trigger it myself.

Summon Celfon, TT, Junk Box.

Something like that.

As for the backrow hatred... 1 in every 6 cards in the deck ATM are Traps. They'll need more than a simple MST to clear my backrow. And even if they do, then fine. It still means that they can't get to me without doing that.

One suggestion on another forum was to axe the traps and simply run triple Decree. That makes sense as a change, but it would leave me wide open.

As a fellow IRL Morph player, I tend to use MagCircle quite a bit. It's so common at the hobby shop I frequent to play Vacuumens for omnomnoms.

I've even been able to get Top 8 out of 30 people at a local tourney. The person that beat me? He won the whole thing using motherf***ing GBs.

Hopefully this time through the help of YCM you'll top and get featured! Good luck at Toronto!

I've seen your tendency to use Vacuumen. I was going to try it, but then I realized that getting it in DEF is about as situational as Slingen unless the build has cards added to specifically try to get it out that way, and my hand's already spent too quickly too often enough for that.

Sub a Gearframe? I like to play a 1:2 ratio of searchers to searchees.
I had thought that too, and tried it with 1 Gearframe. I liked 2 better for some reason. Besides, having more non-weak monsters is nice.

Oh yeah, after reading all chants, what is all this nexus stuff being thrown around with SSD? I don't get it.

Since your running Map you could try running 2 Geartown and 2 AGGD for more monster spam?
Could we not try random stuff like that?

Especially since that would increase the deck count by 4 (we're already at 42... let's not overdo it, please?), and AGGD is a dead draw when Fortress isn't in my hand/grave.

Of course, I say this, but Ima try it anyways. DAMMIT! :/

Its not that random since you can activate geartown, use map, get aggd, activate another map/geartownget monster etc.
But yeah theres not much space.
You would end up negging something like
1 Gearframe
1 Accelerator
2 Bind
1 Machine Dup
It's bad enough that I had to cut the Dupe to 1. Outright tossing it is a horrible idea. Dupe still causes some of my best plays.

Moving Gearframe to 1 can be done. It'll make me get Fortress less often, though...

I'm only cutting the Binds if I don't need to work so hard on my defenses after the testing, at which point I'll test triple Decree.

Honestly, what I need to cut will become clear when I test it later (it's 6 AM here right now). I got my current build by tossing everything I wanted to try in here and testing the deck at 49 cards, then cutting corners. I can do the same with 46.

Tried current build with AGGD + Geartown.

Test Hand 1: Gearframe + AGGD + Warning + Bind + Reborn + Junk Box
Gearframe for Fortress, ditch AGGD for Fortress, Reborn for AGGD. 7300 total ATK.

Test Hand 2: Boarden + Radion + Junk Box + Celfon + Bind + Fortress
Ditch Celfon and Fortress for Fortress, Junk Box on Celfon, roll 5 (Map, Dark Hole, Dupe, AGGD, Judgment), summon Radion, attack for 5200.

Test Hand 3: Radion, Geartown, Boarden, Remoten, Junk Box, Bind
No flashy moves here. Next card would be Boomboxen.

Test Hand 4: Bind, Map, Radion, Accelerator, Lighton, Dupe
No flashy moves here. Next card would be Celfon. :3

Test Hand 5: Mirror Force, Dupe, One for One, Radion, Dark Hole, Lighton
Toss Lighton for One for One, getting Celfon. Dupe Celfon. Roll 4 (AGGD, Bind, Map, Judgment). Roll 2 (Scopen, Junk Box). Summon Scopen, SS Radion, Synchro Thought Ruler. Roll 6 (Bind, Junk Box, TT, Accelerator, Bind, Radion). SS Radion. I misplayed, that could have been an OTK.

Verdict: No go.

And Odin is correct about Alchemy Cycle.

I'm going to test Decrees next. If it works out, I'm going to put some standard traps in my side from when Decree is worthless.

EDIT: Decree kept getting MST'd.
EDIT2: Need a better LV7 to summon with Remoten.

Scrap Archfiend?
It's Burei VS Lightning Warrior VS Scrap Archfiend VS PTD.

Burei:
+ Machine w/300 more ATK than PTD, which lets me use Limiter Removal on it and equip it with Gearframe
+ Can switch a Morph to DEF after attacking, letting me use its DEF effect too (letting me be a little reckless with Boomboxen)
+ Gives Map more counters
- It's a Machine
- Needs a Machine non-Tuner, so Remoten + Radion still goes to AFD or Rose

Lightning Warrior:
+ Punishes people for playing conservatively
- Only 2400 ATK
- Makes Colossal Arm OTK slightly more difficult if attempted in the same duel as this was summoned

Scrap Archfiend:
+ Highest ATK of the 4 options
- No effect

PTD:
+ Armory Arm shenanigans
- Strictly inferior to Burei and Scrap Archfiend in every other aspect

No idea what to choose.

---

A suggestion from another forum was given by a fellow Morph specialist. I faced his build, the match was 1-1 and he had to leave.

The suggestion is to focus more on Dupe shenanigans. Valley, Trooper, Lighton, Celfon, Remoten. Also, he suggests replacing the trap line-up with Decree.

I certainly want to test the idea. Perhaps by comparing how a build using that suggestion does in comparison to my current build.

The Main Deck after adding the above would look something like:

27
2 Card Trooper
3 Cyber Valley
2 Machina Fortress
2 Machina Gearframe
1 Malefic Cyber End Dragon
1 Morphtronic Boarden
3 Morphtronic Boomboxen
3 Morphtronic Celfon
2 Morphtronic Lighton
3 Morphtronic Radion
3 Morphtronic Remoten
2 Morphtronic Scopen

15
1 Dark Hole
3 Junk Box
1 Limiter Removal
3 Machine Duplication
1 Monster Reborn
2 Morphtronic Accelerator
3 Morphtronic Map
1 One for One

3
3 Royal Decree

That's 45. I suppose I should play some solitaire with this build before comparing it to the other one.
