~Nightshade~
Twas a good duel though. I managed to lose that one though, as edit'd in. He accelarate'd over my Country and had enough lp to attack an Ojama with Nexus Dragon for exactly 3300 and game. I won the other two with Okama Delta Defense. burnpsy
What I find sad is that I'm having so many epic duels, and yet I still can't find anything to cut to get to 40.
wiithepeople
What I find sad is that I'm having so many epic duels, and yet I still can't find anything to cut to get to 40.
Personally, I wouldn't cut a thing. But then again, there's no room for error when you want to go X-3 or (like I was able to do since there were so few people during one tournament) X-2. Mostly people tell me that more defensive decks like stall will want to have more cards than the opponent. But this Morph Deck is pure offensive, so I really don't know what to help you cut. burnpsy
If this deck wasn't 42 cards, I'd be satisfied and be done with it. If it weren't for the fact that Celfon's rolls become slightly less likely to be successful for every card over 40, I wouldn't care because of all of the thinning this deck does once it gets going. This needs to get cut down somewhere. Worst comes to worse, I try it with 0 Scarecrow. But Scarecrow saves me from losing when my hand is Remoten + Scopen + Lighton + junk I can't use at the moment (happens fairly commonly in test hands), so I don't think that's a very good idea. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
A Morph Map and a Scarecrow? I am not completely sure but doesn't seem like you have many ways of destroying your own Map, and its first effect isn't all too helpful, so unless there's some sort of OTK...
There was an OTK when AFD was still in the main. Assuming both players have the same LP and the opponent has no monsters... Scopen -> LV4 Morph -> Fairy Play Map Fairy destroys Map, I gain 1000 Map revives Scopen Scopen -> LV4 Morph -> Wyvern Fairy attacks Wyvern gains 2100 ATK, attacks If both players have 8000 when this is done, I end up with 9000 LP, my opponent with 700 LP, and Wyvern has 10300 ATK. 700 damage can easily be added for game with Junk Box or something. In any case, decreasing the amount of Maps means that I'm less likely to draw into multiples. Map is good because I can set extras to revive Morphs. Also, AFD abuse, but I can't find space in the Extra to bring AFD back in ATM. So yeah, I either run 3 Maps or no Maps. It just sucks without having 3. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Well, then the only thing I can think of at all is the Scarecrows. Even if you just get rid of 1, the deck is really close to 40.
burnpsy
I'm actually considering cutting them both. Since they just buy me an extra turn, and the card I draw from that extra turn is what I would've drawn if I didn't run it. It's only beneficial in response to nukes. *removes 'em* I'll test without them tomorrow.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I had also stupidly forgotten that Cyber End requires a field spell. That's my bad.
burnpsy
Well yeah. That supports keeping those Maps. EDIT: Colossal and AFD have been switched. I only use Colossal if my opponents have something with 2800 ATK, meanwhile AFD is actually very useful.

Also I tested my Morphs and I summoned out Shooting Star Dragon for my first time ever XD I still lost, I need to reveal 2 tuners to win but only revealed 1 and next turn he summoned...... burnpsy
Redoing Side Deck, as it just looks like a pile of randomness. Especially since I have to remove Decree to use the sided Traps. Overall, this deck has 2 major weaknesses:

Opposing OTKs, especially when they nuke
Monsters that block Special Summons (Vanity's Fiend, Archlord Kristya, etc.)
On top of that, decks that don't run Traps make Decree a dead draw, and usually OTK with no Traps to hinder. That's 3 issues, so I can give each one 5 slots. I have these in mind: OTKs: 3 Swift Scarecrow 2 Thunder King Rai-Oh Anti-Special Summon Monsters: 2 Fissure 3 Smashing Ground Decks with no Traps: 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Mirror Force 1 Solemn Warning 1 Torrential Tribute So, the Side Deck looks like this now: 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 2 Fissure 1 Mirror Force 3 Smashing Ground 1 Solemn Warning 3 Swift Scarecrow 2 Thunder King Rai-Oh 1 Torrential Tribute OP has been updated. Any suggestions to make the Side Deck better?
Brandon Michael Geren
To be honest, Rai-oh doesn't seem to work well against OTKs. Additionally, Bottomless and Warning should be negged for other stuff like Solemn Judgment. Decks with random backrow shenanigans like Prohibition, Dimensional Fissure and other Continuous Spells can screw you over. My suggestion is: -2 Rai-oh -2 Bottomless -1 Warning +1 Judgment +2 MST +2 Other Stuffs that do stuffs edit: also we should yvd again some time

burnpsy
that 2 "other" stuff. -1 scarecrow -1 smashing don't think you need 3 n 3.
Done. Although it looks weird having 2 Fissure and 2 Smashing Ground. Fissure won't always kill Vanity's Fiend if it's sided by something like Frognarchs (do they still side that?). If they have a Frog out, it will die instead. But if they don't, I get a choice, but I'd always pick Fiend. But Smashing Ground always kills Fiend. It has 200 more DEF than the Monarchs, and I don't think any frogs they run have over 1200 DEF. Against Hyperion, Smashing would hit Kristya (if Hyperion runs Krystya, I dunno if they do or not), followed by Hyperion. Basically, the stuff I'd side them in for tends to have the highest DEF. I'm cutting a Fissure instead.
Sephiroth_The_Legend
dupe frog and ronintoading have 2000 DEF but fair enough. Fissure is more likely to hit tokens, treeborns and SPIRIT REAPER.
burnpsy
...So yeah, they can block it, but those monsters that can divert Smashing would also divert Fissure, so Smashing works more often, as you said. I can search Boarden with Remoten's effect/draw it normally, and proceed to hit hard directly. I can summon RDA and kill it automatically with its effect. I can Accelerator it. I can nuke with Black Rose while Map is out, reviving a Morph and potentially doing some convoluted play in the short space of time that their field is empty, attacking for game. Etcetera. I've never really minded its presence.
