You can't deny that TP was an incredable game. This song is perfect for winter or a snowy area. Its so relaxing. You kind of get a sense of being wandering in a blizzard. I really don't know how to describe it. Its easily one of my favorite songs in the game.

In terms of melodic content, I can't think of many pieces that beat the simple, perfectly executed beauty of this melody. Go Ichinose is a genius. This for me is the purest, most perfectly distilled kick of nostalgia I ever get. Every time I listen to this, I am warped back to my childhood. It's that good. But I don't think that it is just the fact I was a child when I first heard this this that makes it such a good nostalgic piece. It is a simple piece, yet it's simplicity somehow commands a sort of majesty. It's beautiful. I think that is probably the only word that can describe this piece and still do it justice. It is masterfully composed and gives me a shot of joy every time I listen to it, and that's something that little else can do to me. This is reason the Video Game Music Station exists - to give people a dose of the joy we experienced from our childhoods, right?

This song is just amazing. It feels not only aggressive, but calming as well. It feels like a song you would expect from an original Sonic the Hedgehog series game. It could be because of the Empty Woodwinds and Electro Piano combining with the Drums and Electric Guitar. I am going to be honest with you, you have never, ever heard this kind of song from the Mega Man X series (well, maybe Crystal Snail, but his is just more calming). It's practically the perfect harmony between two different personalities. The boss of this level is a next-gen space element reploid genius who absolutely despises X and his generation of reploids. In that context, this theme is very fitting for his stage: calmly intelligent, yet dangerously aggressive.

Not a childhood memory, but a memory from a month ago. Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games I can remember playing, and the ending will make you cry manly tears. And also shout in pure anger, but when the dust settles and you come to terms with what just happened, you can't deny that it was the best way to end a game with such a plot. It isn't until the end that you realize how much you bonded with the characters, and watching the last cutscene unfold and credits roll to the sound of this moved me in a way I never thought an Old West setting could.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days was my first Kingdom Hearts game, I didn't know much about the story of this game or the serries in general. I learned that this is probably the saddest game in the franchise. This music proves it. Its got some great piano playing, and has a sense of no matter what you do, your going to lose in some way. Its worthy of being final boss music though, and it suits who the final boss is. The Kingdom Hearts serries has some of the best music in video games. This is probably my favorite song in the game. Such a depressing song for such a depressing moment. When I first heard this song, the first thing I thought of was, "I'm sorry Xion."

Agreed, and because many people don't give these games a chance. It's a real shame.

I haven't tried Shadow of the Colossus yet, but I will eventually.

This song was incredibly stunning for me in my youth. All the memories of playing this game when I was 6 and always going to Rainbow Road on the 64. I was just amazed when I first came to this stunning track in the Special Cup. It was an unusual track, seeing racers in the celestial sky, racing upon a rainbow. I remembered discovering the shortcut that cuts about 1 minute of the track. However, if anything this music played a large contribution on my journey to become the VGM freak I am today. It's just so beautifully mystifying that I was always eager to listen to every single VGM that I had access to. It was just that amazing...... (and Bowser's Castle was a very close 2nd from the same game).
