Finished 12th cap app. Lemme know it anything's off since he might be a bit overpowered, I've tried to balance him out as best I can...

[b]Name:[/b] Yon Rieder

[b]Gender:[/b] Male

[b]Appearance:[/b] Yon is a mysterious entity, wearing a hooded, white coat over his Soul Reapers robe and captain Haori which goes down to his ankles, obscuring his body from view almost completely, additionally he wears a pair of white gloves and thick white boots. His face is concealed by a white mask in the shape of a Jackal with small holes along the muzzle, adding to this his hood is always up obscuring his head and identity completely aside from a pair of yellow eyes. Yon’s Zanpaktou is held on a belt at his waist in a black scabbard with a white handle and a simple blank circle as a guard.

[b]Personality:[/b] Yon is a shut in and appears very rarely outside of his own laboratory, seen mostly by only his closest subordinates outside of captain meetings. Yon is completely dedicated to his research and has little empathy for anything that would get in his way. His interest is very hard to spark but once he does find something that interests him it will almost become an obsession to him and he will not stop till his curiosity is satisfied. Yon has little regard for other forms of life and will often flat out ignore anything that doesn’t interest him. He has little patience and while he is hard to anger he can quickly become dangerous. As far as battle goes Yon will not engage with anyone unless they interest him and even then he will hold back his abilities, only unleashing his true powers if he deems his opponent worth of suffering his wrath. Yon’s tone of voice hardly ever changes and speaks in an almost constant, emotionless tone which remains no matter what situation he’s in, whether something interests or angers him or not, making it very hard for anybody to ‘read’ him as a person.

[b]Biography:[/b] Very little is known about Yon and his backstory, leading most people to question his position as captain. Since the day he first arrived in the Seiretei, Yon has hid his appearance and identity from others (although there is a rumour that the captain commander knows who he is and what he looks like). When he arrived he practically demanded to be given the then open 12th squad captain position, taking the exam and passing easily. He has been the 12th squad captain for over 100 years and yet in that time little is still known about him and his true nature.

[b]Shikai Name & Release Phrase:[/b] Laugh at the Moon and Cry at the sun, grab the minds of the weak and drag them down into the oblivion of madness, Oukoku No Ankun (Kingdom of a Foolish Ruler)

[b]Shikai Appearance:[/b] Visually, Yon’s Zanpaktou changes little, the handle becomes grey instead of black and either side of the weapon’s blade become pure white and pitch black respectively.

[b]Shikai Abilities:[/b] When released, Yon's zanpaktou allows him to warp matter in his surroundings, giving him the ability to bend objects out of shape to suit his needs, even so far as changing the material entirely. For example he can shape and mould sand into solid glass structures, warp metal and break it apart into its base elements and so on.

[b]Bankai Name:[/b] Rengoku no Ankun (Purgatory of the Foolish Ruler)

[b]Bankai Appearance:[/b] Physically, nothing changes except a strange black aura seems to surround the area around Yon and his opponent, the size varying depending on Yon’s will.

[b]Bankai Abilities:[/b] Yon’s bankai envelopes the immediate area around Yon and creates a form of pocket dimension. Yon can manipulate this dimension any way he chooses, including gravity, form and many other things. This power is limited, however, as he cannot use this ability directly on his opponent or himself and maintaining the dimension can take a considerable strain on him depending on its size, how much he’s affecting it and the time in which he attempts to hold it. As such Yon will usually hold back using this ability and simply use more simple aspects of it within a smaller space to try and conserve as much energy as possible.

[b]Hollow Mask:[/b] Yon’s mask is unknown, many suspect that it’s the Jackal mask he wears and that Yon has mastered his hollow powers but he denies this claim.

Shikai Appearance: The Zanpakuto takes the form of the Blade in the Image, with a extremely pale blade that can occasionally become transparent.
Shikai Abilities: Yurei can phase through objects, such as going through an opponent's blade, or escaping a chain. However, all of the blade must phase through.

I have a suggestion;

Lets have a small arc where we take Osuchin out for training in the Menos Forest (I know it was filler, but I liked it), and we meet some Soul Reapers there.

Just an idea.

I guess thats ok. You can have the ecuse of the adujas, and menos were growing to rapidly(like in the show) so that the soul reapers are there. However they will only be probably 3rd or 4th seats of numerous squads, since it wouldn't be needed for a captain or a vice-captain level soul reaper to get rid of them. While there they can accedentally run into the area where they (Aizen and the arrancars they have as a guard/sparring partner or whatever) are where the shinigami's are easily killed.

Before dying one of them sends a destress signal via: hell butterfly (which is created by the shinigami's spiritual pressure) and tells one of the closest officers. It is then that the Captains figure out that Aizen is in the Menos Forest, however, their specific goals are still unknown to them. Just that they were there and seemingly fighting/training an arrancar that was considerably weaker than the others there.

Or we can halve Magnets character (he has a 3rd seat right?) be the only one to survive and manages to make it back to the soul society battered and bruised, and tells his/her captain. The other NPC's can be controlled by the person who's squad their in. This way Visser isn't the one controling all of them, and Aizen and Oshi(your arrancer).

As a meeting is held over this they decide not to go, chosing to wait and see how things play out.

Then some other filler stuff can happen - like the annual Sakura Festival or something of that matter. A happy time before all hell breaks loose in the soul society. Something like that...
