Several individuals from varying backgrounds wake up in cages through out a large stone structure. The building is old an ruined and is near collapsing. Beside each person is a sealed envelope containing a letter, describing he/she is part of an experiment and that they must navigate their way through puzzles and trails to escape before the structure collapse on top of them. And so each person would move onwards, finding more letters through out the coarse testing the people they think the are. Trails include; murdering an broken by torture man to unlock a door, removing your own finger as a payment, or even killing another player to advance. All the while, they're being watched by the creator the sick game. Swordsman tourney, but they find out that they were tricked to leave their families and friends unguarded. The people who organized the tourney locks the swordsmen up and kills everyone's loved ones. The swordsmen go two different ways, the ones who are loners...seeking revenge for their lost ones, only to join the group later; and the ones who will stay together to stop this mad group.
