Basically says "All monsters your opponent controls when this card is activated cannot be used for a Synchro Summon or an Xyz Summon and have their effect negated until your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation."[/center]

If it only lasts for 2 of your opponent's turns then how is a continuous card?

Yeah, but not all of them are, just Deck Lockdown.

I'm wondering why they are? Continuous cards are meant to stay on the field until they are destroyed or removed by another card's effect.

Well it clearly does not always work that way.

Swords of Revealing Light and Nightmare's Steelcage were originally released as Continuous cards and were later errata'd because Konami.

What's yours with the pics?

How about you partner?

Yeah, I'm up there.

Continuous Cards have the right to destroy themselves. And you cannot deny that right to them.

Why?
So it can be a worthless clog?

Because you can keep it in use > Negate it while it should otherwise self-destruct > get rid of your Spell Canceller so this works again.

Not sure if legal combo though, and the fact that it only seals the monsters upon activation (obviously not getting new targets later on) makes this combo bad.

The card would work in the already stated Jar Deck. Other than that its the not-so-fast version of Book of Moon. The 2 turn clause doesn't even matter since your opponent's monsters being affected by this shouldn't even be on the field by then. That or your opponent would have destroyed it by then.

Lastly, I strongly disagree with people finding it weird that a Continuous Card could ever have a clause that self-removes it from the field. The rules for Continuous cards are one thing, but the specific clauses of self-removal effects added to those specific cards are usually there for balance and are a whole different matter.

Morphing Jar laughs at this.

Why? It's not like he can activate his effect face-down. This card is mostly used for stalling or negating effects.

... You flip it BACK facedown and it reactivates ._.
