Wonder held his head for a second. "I-... I don't know" he replied, uncertain. "I... I'm Wonder Brush... right? But... No... I was Aetherone also... I..." he muttered, "This is so confusing!" he growled stamping a hoof on the ground. Fire seemed to brim at his mouth for a moment, but it dissipated. "But... No... I get it. We're the same, aren't we?" Wonder asked. He sat down on the ground, and sighed, "It's just... this is so much to take in" he said. He closed his eyes, then, "And... Morning..." he muttered, almost a whisper, but opened his eyes again and looked back up at Crescent. "So what now then? We know this, but what's the point?" Wonder demanded, staring straight at Crescent.

Honeypot looked back at Blazer, who she could tell was already blind drunk. "Hmm... I suppose it's pretty nice" she replied, smiling. "But, I'm afraid I won't be doing that" She said, "I've got all I need"

Sonic noticed Snowfire walk out a room and into the hall, from the corner of his eye. He crossed his hooves and leaned against the wall with his side.

"Hey, Snowfire," he said. "Do you know when Sniffy and Dawn are comin back?"

Sniffy turned around, already dizzy. She squinted at Blazer.

"Y-you...you're a pony. Why?" Sniffy asked, and took another gulp of vodka. "I don't..."

She turned and looked at Storm. "Do you like cookies?"

Storm blinked. "I....do, yes. W-why?"

Sniffy patted Storm's shoulder softly. "Good. Good. I love you man..."

She got off of her chair and leaned on him. "I wuv you dooood, you're so kewl~ Like...like...a cookie....liker...doood....Drink wizz me <3"

Crescent looked down on him, his eyes shining in the darkness. They were wide, and his face was struck with awe. "You... You are..." He stopped, unable to finish his sentence. He stepped back, shutting his eyes a moment later. "...I see. So that is the way of this..." he muttered. Crescent opened his eyes again and looked to the sky, a small grin on his face, though his mane covered most of it. "Tch, just like always..."
Crescent looked back down to Wonder, offering a hoof up. "So be it, then... Come. We should gather the others. We-"
"Sigh, you really are impossible, aren't you?"
Crescent spun around and looked down the road. A short ways away stood Aleph, looking on at them with sharp, glaring eyes. Crescent's face turned to an angry expression, and his body started trembling. "Aleph...!"
"Hey, I'm just passing through. Thought I would check in on our little living dead there, since your sister doesn't seem to be around. She's inside, filling up on the local brews, isn't she?"
"Aleph... How did you even locate me?"
"Hah! I'm sure you already know. You heard that roar, right? Heh... That clued me in to where you were. Not to mention, I'd never let her get away from me."
Aleph started moving towards the two. Crescent remained motionless, except for his eyes that kept a close eye on Aleph.
"And how is mister 'come-back-to-life', hm? Here I was thinking you were still dead." Aleph shrugged. "Guess I was wrong for once, eh? Ah, well, looks like I'm not wanted here." he said, exchanging stares with Crescent, contempt obvious in both their eyes. Aleph stopped and turned back around. "Heheh... Remember, come-back-to-life guy... You're just taken your first step into hell, yeah?" Aleph said finally. There was a bright red flash, and Aleph had disappeared. Crescent stood where he was, staring to the ground now, his body still shaking slightly.

Snowfire glanced up at Sonic, who seemed to have the nerve to address him. "Oh, it's you, runt" Snowfire noted. "And no, I do not know when they are coming back. Why should you care, anyway? Not like either of them care about you" Snowfire pointed out.

Honeypot stopped giggling finally, when she saw Sniffy apparently confessing to Storm, and subsequently draping herself over him. She glared at her for a moment, then set down her beer and walked over to Sniffy. After a moment of silence, she drew back a hoof, and threw a punch at Sniffy's face.

Wonder tilted his head at Crescent as he accepted the hoof, "What? What is it?" Wonder asked, in reference to Crescent apparently wanting to make a comment about him. He stopped too, though, when a visitor suddenly appeared. Wonder gasped, recognizing him as the pony who stabbed Morning earlier. He and Crescent exchanged words, and Wonder simply watched, but he soon left. Wonder looked over to Crescent, to see him now shaking a bit. "Crescent? Crescent, are you alright? What was that all about?"

"Oh yeah? Like Dawn gives two flying feathers about any damn thing," Sonic said, a bit irritated. "Sniffy on the other hand...you seem to be quite close to her, eh?"

He smirked a bit. "What if she's gotten herself into trouble? She's sick, you know..."

At that precise moment, little did they know, Sniffy had gotten herself into a bit of trouble. In a drunken state, she leaned on Storm, which prompted Honeypot to throw a hoof to her face. Of course, this had been any other pony, that would have been fatal. If it had been any other pony.

Sniffy wobbled her head back just enough to dodge, then cocked her head. "W-why....are you atatataking mee......tea pony? I love you toooo, I sweeear~~ "

She hugged Honeypot too, then.

Snowfire glared at Sonic. "Close? I guess. We're friends" He replied, not giving an ounce of emotion. "You think I don't know that?" Snowfire questioned, in relation to Sonic mentioning that Sniffy was sick, "She's been sick for ages. But hey, she's still a higher ranking than you, dunderhead" he retorted. He looked upwards and yawned, "Anyway, I'm not worried" he said, partially lying, "she can handle whatever might happen to her." he said. Snowfire chuckled, "Now, if YOU had been sent to do this mission... Hah! Sorry, made myself laugh there! As if you'd be sent to do anything! You can't make a wide turn in open air! You probably couldn't hit the long side of a barn!" Snowfire mocked, "That you were INSIDE!" he added, and burst out laughing again.

Honeypot stared at Sniffy, utterly confused as she suddenly hugged her. She glanced over Storm, and smiled, "Now, sweetie, just remember, she had this coming" she said sweetly, then turned back to Sniffy. "I must warn you" she began, though she knew Sniffy probably wouldn't understand behind her drunkenness, "this particular style of combat has been conveyed through the Tea family for years!" Honeypot boasted. She then brought up her forelegs, and wrapped them through Sniffy's outstretched forelegs, getting a solid grip around them. She then summoned all her might, and flipped herself backwards, in an attempt to slam Sniffy into the ground underneath her.

Crescent took in a deep breath, halting his shaking. His composure regained, he looked back at Wonder. "...We should be going. The sun will rise in a matter of hours, and we must gather the others. I am sure that many of us will need to rest." Crescent said dryly. He started for the Casino now, stopping for a moment beforehand. "Now that you are aware of the truth, I have a request of you..." He began.
"...I ask that you keep watch over Morning. I... will not be around forever." He finished, stepping back inside the casino.

Dawn's eyes were glued to the screen, as she kept pressing the lever over and over. Around her hind hooves, was a large pile of coins, and the number only seemed to increase. For a second, she looked to the side and saw a guard pony. She could sense he was glancing at her, but decided to ignore it and concentrate on freeing the fruits from the metal contraption.

Sonic frowned. "Watch it..."

He clopped one hoof on the ground softly, then flexed his foreleg a bit. "I've been training you know? I bet I can give you a run for your money..."

...tch...I wish....but I won't give him the satisfaction of thinking I'm weak...

Sniffy blinked. She wasn't used to being attacked. As Honeypot moved to suplex her, she stuck her hooves up, and they stopped the suplex when they hit the ground. She then used the momentum to swing her lower body forward, and shake Honeypot off. She then got into a fighting stance, a bit dizzily.

Storm sighed. How troublesome...

he noticed the casino's band playing soft music. Soothing to the soul. So Storm had to, of course, go over there and f*ck it up. He walked up to the band, made a movement that made the lead guitarist look to the side, curious. Then, he proceeded to push him off the stage lightly, and took the guitar on his own. He strummed it a few times, before doing a small string of notes.

Then he began playing heavy rock.

Wonder nodded in response to gathering the others, and began following Crescent, before he began speaking again. Wonder nearly gasped, "W-what... What do you...?" he muttered, "I mean... Yes. Of course. I'll make sure to keep watch over her" he replied. Before entering the Casino with Crescent, Wonder remained standing still, in the cool night air. 'Won't be around forever... And that guy appearing again... I have a really bad feeling that things are taking a turn for the worst for us...' Wonder gulped. 'And there's still the matter of me being Aetherone...' Wonder sighed, then trotted into the Casino after Crescent.

"Wow, you're good" Honeypot commented, "Did your mom teach you to fight, too?" she inquired, completely oblivious to Storm's actions on stage.

Sly glanced around at the chaos unfolding around him, "Ugh, these guys are a load of trouble" he muttered, then turned back to the dealer, and kept pulling in cash from his gambling/cheating.

Wonder glanced around at his friends, who were causing complete disaster all around, and groaned. He galloped over to Morning, Blazer, Honeypot, and Sniffy. Honeypot and Sniffy seemed to be fighting. "Guys, can you, uh, stop, please? We kinda need to get going..." he told them. He turned to Morning and Blazer, "You guys too" he said.

Honeypot glanced over Wonder, "Oh? I guess so..." Honeypot muttered, and began pouting. She glanced over to Sniffy, giving her a look that told her that they'd settle this later. Though Sniffy didn't even know what she'd done wrong. Honeypot just now noticed Storm jamming on stage. She trotted over to him. "Storm, it's time to leave now" she told him. She glanced over and noticed some guardsponies approaching him, "And you probably wanna get out of here anyway. Let's go sweetie" she grabbed him by a foreleg, and yanked him over to Wonder.

"You've been training eh?" Snowfire asked, sarcasm obvious in his voice, "What, have you got sixty pounds strapped to your legs or something?!" Snowfire mocked, and laughed. "Nah, dude, you couldn't even give me a challenge. If you want proof, we can go right now, not like it's a bother to me. Though, I am waiting on a very important pony, so let's make your inevitable defeat and shame quick"

Blazer was in the middle of the casino, dancing and having a grand time. She was listening to Storm's music and loving it. "Wooo, play it up. I love this song."

Oddly enough, this was more her love of music than random drunken gibberish.

She continued dancing until Wonder trotted near her and told her that the group had to leave soon.

"Aww... and it was so fun here at the casino. Well- *hic* I guess we do have important stuff to do. Like... like oh, the rebellion! Yeah!"

She grabbed everypony close enough and brought them in a huddle. "Okay, so we'll ren- *hic* ren- *hic* rendezvous in Cloudsdale. Then we get a bunch of troops. Then we share some of this beer with the troops. You guys got the plan? Good, break!"

Blazer then walked towards the exit of the casino. "This was fuuun." She said with glee.

Crescent joined up with the rest as they left the casino, dragging Morning behind him. Her face was red and she was half-asleep, with an empty jug in her hoof. Crescent looked annoyed. "We should find some location to rest for the night. Once the sun has risen and the next day begun, we may continue our journey and continue to our original destination of Manehatten. Once we arrive, we will have to remain focused on the task at hand. Young Honeypot must be brought to full recovery if we are to continue." He said. Crescent then shot a sharp glare at Blazer.
"And please do remember why we are on this journey. While we are fighting a rebellion, we are not starting a war. Our role is to simply end the current rule and reinstate our former mentors. And..." He looked back at his sister who lay wasted, trailing slowly along behind him. "...Finding a cure for our plague, if at all possible."

Wonder nodded, "He's right, Blazer, we're not doing any big scale thing here" he said, quietly. He looked over to Crescent, "As for continuing... Manehatten should be within distance to walk to in a few hours, if we make good time tomorrow, so we don't have to worry about that" he explained, moreso for the whole group to hear, than for Crescent, who he assumed already knew this.

Sly came up behind Crescent, "And as for a place to rest, we've still got my place" he reminded him, "I've got more than enough room to situate you guys" he said.

Honeypot nodded, "Right, that's good then... It probably wasn't the best idea to be fighting with a wound like this, huh? Probably tore it open even more..." she muttered.

"Thank you, Sly" Wonder said, nodding towards him. "Now... most of the group does need a lot of rest, so let's go"

Sly led the group back to his hidden shelter, and showed the group to a total of five rooms, each which housed two beds, on separate ends of said room. Wonder slowly trotted into the room on the far left, and lied down on the left bed. He didn't go to sleep, however, still in thought over what happened outside the Casino.

Honeypot followed suit, and took the rightmost bed in the center room, though she herself didn't spare a moment to begin her rest.

"I remember... there was... we will drink." Blazer started laughing. "Guys, you shouldn't listen to anything from me if it sounds like drunk banter."

Blazer walked back along with the others to Sly's hidden shelter. "Ooo, I feel kinda dizzy after all the fun we had today. But, it's really nice to have a break from such serious things every now and again."

She went into the right room and lied down on the rightmost bed; A bed she liked. It had a soft mattress and red sheets. "Goodnight guys, sleep well." She slowly dozed off into slumber.

Crescent stepped into Wonder's room, carrying an entirely unconscious Morning Sun on his back. He lowered her onto the bed opposite Wonder's without saying a word, then glancing over at him as he shifted his sister into a comfortable position. "Take care of her for the night, will you? I have never been fond of handling her after she has had this much to drink. Alongside that, you should get some rest. Let your thoughts ponder and inquire tomorrow, lest you feel the need to openly discuss them now. A companion that one can talk to is always useful." Crescent said sharply, stepping back out before Wonder could say a word.

Wonder bolted up as Crescent entered the room, and laid Morning down. Wonder tried to say something, but Crescent left before he could, and all he fumbled out was "Wai-" before the door was shut. Wonder fell back down in bed, then looked over to Morning. 'Ah... There's not much I can do about it, I suppose' he thought. He looked at her a bit longer, 'I guess I never realized before but... Morning really is rather pretty...' he thought, and upon realization of what his mind had just said, he quickly turned away, his face burning. 'I'm tired. Crescent is right. I should go to sleep, I can think tomorrow.... I need a clear head...' he told himself, then cleared his mind, and fell to sleep.

This was Sonic's chance. He could prove his worth. He could prove how much he'd improved. How much he'd grown.

"I won't let this be a quick defeat. I've practiced! Countless hours. Much more than you have! You have no idea...what it's like to be born without talent..."

By the last line, he was basically mumbling to himself. He then looked up at Snowfire, growling at him a bit.

"If you want a fight, bring it. But don't think it'll be easy."

Sonic got into a fighting stance, glaring at Snowfire. Of course, he knew Snowfire was stronger. He always was. Likely always would be. But he wasn't about to be chopped liver. He worked twice as hard. He should be able to put up a fight to some extent.

"Listen to you talk!" Snowfire laughed, dropping into a fighting stance. "Much more than I have? Do you really think so?" Snowfire asked, extremely smug. "Perhaps to you. See, a pony without much power would be pushing himself a lot more on a basic training session than somepony like me. That's what's wrong with you, Sonic. You've reached your limit. You have NO potential. But someone like me? I have no limits" he explained. His body shifted. "No, someone like me," he repeated, then did a flashy backwards flip, landing entirely on the other end of the hallway, his hind hooves pressing against the wall, "Will just keep getting stronger!" he finished. He thrust himself of the wall, and charged at Sonic through the open air, one forehoof pulled back, and when he reached Sonic, thrust the forehoof forward, aiming to knock him out of a nearby window, to give himself a more open battlefield.

Meanwhile, several hours in the future, Wonder lazily awoke from his slumber. He sat up in his bed, let out a small, soft yawn, and rubbed his eyes. He looked around for a moment, almost forgetting where he was. "Right..." He muttered, "Ugh, last night..." he sighed. He lied back down, and looked towards the ceiling. "I can't let that get to me, though. Not now. Honeypot's wounds still need treating, and we can't ignore that just because of... of that"

Sonic managed to move his forelegs just in time to block, crossed in front of his face. However, the impact from the attack sent him spiraling through the window. It shattered instantly, and he stopped himself from flying back any further, his forelegs stinging. He clenched his teeth.

D-didn't hurt...didn't hurt...didn't hurt...come on, Sonic. You trained hard to get close to his strength...and you'll let yourself be pushed around so easily?

Sonic took a deep breath. He rose higher in the sky, and unlatched the bands around his arms, letting them fall to the ground. They fell to the ground with a heavy thud, and he did some shadow-boxing, his fists moving almost too fast for any common pony's eyes to follow.

He then faced Snowfire again, and got into a fighting stance. "Come at me, dude..."

Morning rolled over onto her side, facing towards Wonder, though she was still half-asleep. She blinked a bit, rubbing her eyes and yawning. "Mm, Cresc... My head hurts... Do you know what time it is...?" she said groggily. She rolled over again, and then rolled off the bed entirely, hitting the floor with a "Thump", jolting her awake. "Owwww... Hm?" She looked up at Wonder, a blank and almost curious look on her face. "...Huh... That's... wait..." she started muttering, keeping her stare. Morning then leaned down onto the floor, her eyes half-closed. "I wonder if I'm still dreaming... What do you think, Wonder?" She asked quietly.

Wonder looked back at Morning, as she stared at him. "W-what is it?" He asked, "Is my mane messy? Gah, it's always like this in the morning..." he muttered, and his hooves flew to his head, attempting to fix his mane, his face turning slightly red all the while. He then looked back down to Morning, "Uh... No, you're not dreaming. I'm awake, at least, so I assume you are too... Why, what's wrong?"

Snowfire hovered in the air around the castle for a while, watching as Sonic removed his front weights. Snowfire laughed wildly, "So THOSE are those pathetic weights you've been training with?" he mocked, "Please, those won't even make a difference. Allow me to show you the fruits of REAL training!" Snowfire shouted. Without a pause, he blasted forward, with greater speed than before, and when he was close to Sonic, front-flipped over him, and jabbed the joint of his foreleg towards Sonic's back.

Morning rolled onto her back. "Oh, I'm not dreaming, that's good, I guess... Come here for a minute, will you? My head is pounding, and my eyes hurt... At least it isn't very light in here." she said slowly, blinking every couple of seconds. She held her forehooves up in the air, waving them around a little. "The sky is spinning again, joy. It's cold, too." she started rambling on. "Did you ever find out what happened? Wonder? Or Ae? I still haven't found anything... You should have come back, you know. You kept a lot of them waiting, Ae. it made them sad when you visited, Ae. We should visit them again, so you can say hello to them this time. Don't you think, Ae?" Morning kept on talking, staring at the ceiling.

Wonder slid off his bed, and trotted near Morning. He looked down at her, but was once again stricken by how pretty she was, and blushed for a second, but willed his thoughts away. "Um... I think you're just hungover, Morning" Wonder explained. She went on babbling, calling him Ae. Aetherone. And she was talking about... something. The tribe she came from, Wonder presumed. "Morning, I think you just need to lie down for a bit. You're sort of babbling right now..." Wonder muttered, sounding concerned.

Honeypot woke up with a long, groggy yawn. She rolled out of bed, and peered over, to see Storm sleeping in the opposite bed. She trotted over to him, "Rise and shine, sweetie" she said brightly, shaking him a bit "We're going to be travelling again today, so you should get ready'

Morning reached up and wrapped her forehoofs around Wonder's neck, pulling him down next to her and hugging him tightly. "Babbling? Hungover? No, no, I don't think... I don't... Think I'm hungover at all... I mean, that's... not even a word. No, not even a... word..." Her voice was getting quieter and quieter as she continued to speak. "Just need to stay here... for a while... When it's time to visit them again, wake me up... or something... They're probably waiting for Ae to come back... Ae can go see them, right...? Right..." She let out another yawn before releasing her grip on Wonder and falling asleep again,

Wonder's face burned furiously as Morning pulled him in for a hug, but managed to keep himself from stammering like an idiot. When she released him and fell asleep, Wonder sighed. He glanced down at her again, and again started to admire her features, but quickly looked away, realize how weird it was that he was watching her sleep. He placed her back on her bed, carefully, then stepped out of his room, and trotted over to where Crescent was lodged. He knocked on the door, and then called softly through, "Ah, sorry if I'm disturbing you, Crescent," He began, "But... Well... Morning just woke up, see, but she's hungover, and she was babbling just now. Something about where you guys used to live, I think. She kept calling me Ae, as well... She fell back asleep, just a second ago... I thought you should know..."

Sonic gasped at Snowfire's speed, but luckily he was able to slightly see his movement just then. He spun around, to soften the blow a bit, and threw his hoof at Snowfire's face to counter-attack, but the blow had a much bigger impact than anticipated, blowing Sonic back, as his hoof missed Snowfire's face by almost half a foot. He managed to stop himself in midair, wincing a bit.

"Is...t-that all you've got?" he muttered.

Dawn's eyes opened slowly, and she sat up on the bed, with a monotone yawn. She realized Sniffy was sleeping on a nearby bed, a strand of dried drool coming from the corner of her mouth, ending at her chin. She got off her bed, and left the room silently so as not to awake Sniffy.

"Yesterday was quite...enjoyable. I wonder if Sniffy felt the same."

Meanwhile, Sniffy was having a dream about being coated in chocolate and packaged, sent to New Zealand. She didn't get it either. But from that day on she didn't really drink alcohol.
