This card is somewhat stupid. I hope it's actually '3 or more Xyz Materials'. Could it have hurt to give it a reverse nerf, give it an effect that allows it to do something for only one Xyz Material? And as much as I like field bombs, its effect can only be used once, which is annoying, and it doesn't even have decent ATK, and requires high Xyz Materials.

Meh.

It won't be, you can tell from the length of the line of text on the card.

I see no reason to run this over Ouroboros, Number 16 or Disigma, unless this gets released in the TCG where the others haven't, and Number 16 is a JUMP promo so it's exclusive to America.

What?

You have to use three materials to summon it, but still need five materials for the effect?

Well this can't be right.

I'm actually annoyed if they've really changed its conditions from 5 to 3; there should definately be some 4 and 5 material monsters. And they shouldn't have effects that are pig to set up and then extremely meh when you manage it.

If this for real: Worst Number just got worse.

No there shouldn't. And no, this is still one of the better numbers. Nearly all of the Numbers suck apart from a few... At least this is better than quite a few of the other Numbers.

Although that's not to justify that this is good. This does suck.

Oh come on, sure there should be. I mean not rampant amounts of them, but some that you have to work hard/dedicate a strategy to bring out occasionally and be worth the effort for it. Would feel like an achievement to bring out a five material monster and create some havoc with it every once in a while.

Yeah, having fun and doing something different. I know that's a difficult concept to grasp for some in this section, but it's worth trying some time.

Acid
Utopia
Corn
17
Crimson Ninja
Brilliant
Shock ruler

And these are only the amazing ones (there might be more but I don't remember which xyz are actually numbers

We also have some great ones that are only held back by their rank (easily fixed with new broken cards):

Big eye
Canopy star
Giant killer

AND there are deck specific numbers:
8 (need to know how strong his archetype is)
Machu mach (thought that ycm loves gimmick otks)

Allow me to bite my tongue on over-exaggeration. Either way, most of them are pretty mediocre ~ bad. :l You listed all of the good/borderline good numbers, sure, but then you neglected to post how many of the others there are...

Either way, I still feel that this is an okay card for it's material cost.

It is an okay card. It's a field bomb. At least it can still wipe out all other monsters on the field with just three materials. It's not the worst Number, that goes to Goldrat. Also, it's a Rank 4 so it's easy to get out. Granted, it would be easier and wiser to use the other Rank 4 Xyz monsters, but don't get the wrong idea. Thunder Spark Dragon doesn't suck. It just has a second useless effect as well as low ATK for its conditions. It's an overall okay card in my opinion. Useful, but there are better cards out there.

Forgot that existed. Either way, I can't see this being used outside of its own deck.

Volcasaurus would like a word with you.

The Numbers from best to worst, not counting Fran Ken because we don't have a IRL effect yet.....

Big Eye ( Not as hard to summon as it seems )
Volcasaurus
Shock Ruler
Utopia
Revise
Acid Golem
Black Corn
Giant Killer
Heaven's Strings
Dyson Sphere ( only because its rather hard to get out for most decks )
Brilliant
Crimson Shadow ( Volca and Tiras do it MUCH better though )
Shark Drake
Galaxy Queen
Black Mist
Machu Mach
Atlathal
Tera-Byte
Focus Force
Lucky Stripe
Illumknight
Freezerdon
Goldrat
Thunderpsark Dragon

The fact that Goldrat is better than this says A LOT.

How the hell is Goldrat better than this? That whole list makes no sense.

It's a 3 material that has different uses than each of the ones we have so far.

Ouroboros: Can remove a problem card from the field or Grave and can hit a card in the hand.
Disigma: Removes a problem monster from the opponent's field, and does better against non-extra bosses than Ouroboros.
Shock Ruler: A way to try and dodge mirror force/Gorz/Trago/Etc. for the OTK and such
Shark Drake: Beater that's slightly bigger than Ouroboros, not that it matters. Can also be used in the push for game.
Thunderspark: Survive some swarm and make this, and there you go. It's not uncommon for monsters to be left up to make some use of it.

It's not exactly great, but it's not worse than Gold Rat in any way. Honestly, I don't see how Illumiknight is better than this, when the only difference is 400 DEF for Illumiknight and a Dark Hole/Lightning Vortex baby effect for this. I'd much rather have a pseudo-dark hole in the wings than a drop one draw one.

By the current translation, isn't the effect mandatory?

DN has it as "Can".

A lot of field bomb cards are limited because they're good even though you use them once a match. This is pretty much the same thing... So... Your point?

My point is it should've had a newly-added third effect or something that activates by detaching only one Xyz Material, or an effect that allows it go gather more Xyz Materials for its second effect. Something that could've made it useful outside of its one-turn use or something.

lol, this made me laugh so much because you provided no logic when honestly utopia seems to be the best number.
