Well it's fairly obvious what's going on here.

Tewart never learned how to play the card game and never had any idea about what the Orichalcos does. That's because he never paid attention to it. Why? He was studying! Where? Well, obviously Duel Academy, where he also may have been too young to understand what was going on. His teacher? Obviously this fellow who teaches "Card Design" at the academy! Therefore we can also see that Tewart got his sh*tty card making skills from him! And who hired him? THAT'S RIGHT. Seto Kaiba. This was all an ingenius plan from the start so that Seto Kaiba could say that he was the best duelist ever and any player that could beat him only did so because of stupidly designed cards. Kaiba is a genius.

Yeah, maybe Tewart was too young to comprehend the power of the Orichalcos, and the fact that he didn't pay much attention to it confirms the fact thay maybe he shouldn't have designed the real card.

Remember that the "destroy all your SSed monsters" line is NOT necessarily to match the anime, but rather, to make sure the Seal doesn't get abused by Decks that spam the hell out of their monsters and bring out Extra Deck monsters, and then play the Seal to get around the loophole a la Royal Oppression's strategy. It still has a loophole with Extra Deck monsters that are immune to being destroyed by effects, but imagine what Six Sams would otherwise do with the Seal, since they aren't all one Attribute (making Attribute Fields mediocre or worthless).

Likewise, preventing use of the Extra Deck was semi-based on the lack of Extra Deck plays in the anime, but also to limit abuse that way, as giving something like Laggia +500 is deadly. In fact, considering how easy bringing out Synchros and Xyz is, making a one-sided power boost Field would be broken with that mechanic unhindered. The design was meant to follow the anime to some degree, but not be identical to it.

Why are they hiding the card's effect? Could they be making the other cards that were in the Anime?
They are hiding the effects just because they can. Much like when we get new cards photographed from the official site, and they still appear ridiculously blurry (obviously so we can't read them).

Another reason could be that, they might still be making the card, but they wanted to test the water and see how the public reacted, though this reason is very unlikely since they even told us already how many words will the card have, I doubt they'd perform any changes.

Making the other cards from the anime? It is possible that they might be planning them as we speak for a release someday, but I highly doubt that that would have anything to do with this Legendary Collection, since the information regarding the cards that will come out here has already been stated, and the Mega-pack that we are getting here is pure reprints.

It's been more than 48 hours sinse the last article already, what is Teward doing?

even though some people worry about the special summon destruction part of the effect, its only when its activated to prevent any OTK menouvers where its ment to be placed first before you do anything else, as this card can still work amazing in decks like Earthbound Gods and Melafic, where you would either produce something crazy like a 3500 Direct attacker with Uru or the gaint or have a Crazy 4500 Beater with Malefic Cyber End, plus even if the feild only has a 1 prevention of destruction or something along those lines its still enough to keep them going on that mad rampage...

(Malefic Earthbound or either one of them seperate) Orichalcos could even be considered as a Threating deck based on pure power alone.

I am mostly bothered by the "once per Duel" clause.

The "no Special Summons from Extra Deck" I can welcome
The "+500 ATK too all your monsters" is expected
The "Destroy Special Summons" bit actually makes combos.
The protection effect is nice being a Spell version of Pixie Ring and more searchability.
The "once per turn" imunity for some reason doesn't sound like enough to me. Not in combination with being "once per Duel".

Cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck is what kill it.
All the other restrictions would be livable.

Only like, Monarchs (lol) Malefics, and Earthbounds could use it.

actually I could run this in prophecy and it wouldn't go to badly. you only need 1 tower in that deck anyway since you have every search effect in the world for it

Photons could also run it.
Provided, you just rely on their natural 2000 ATK shenanigans(2500, because Seal), and spam normal Galaxy-Eyes.

I'm more bothered by the once per duel cluase- It has enough restrictions imo, this just makes it harder to maintan :S
I really liked the other restrctions because it made it less splashable and only be used in 'unique' decks like malefics, earthbounds or other decks that are already mentioned :\
