Not-so-Radiant Arin
YGOPro still sucks, though... OT: Amazing card. Absolute staple in HERO Beat, and should be ran in 2s.

b0b3rt
Meh. Run 1, side a second. Hate the -1, pretty harmful in a meta where Wind-Ups/Machinas and f***ing everybody else are +1ing all over you.
Agro
Reasons for Fusions not being as prevalent as they could: 1. Polymerization is absolute garbage. Always -2ing every play. 2. The majority of Fusions are too specific to use. Any legitimate fusion decks either have was to + off the Fusion summon (or break even), or have extremely generic materials for their monsters. (or just use Instant Fusion)
Sleepy
Fusions are a rather primitive mechanic to try to generalize in the game. The problem is them, on top of the required materials being more specific than any other mechanic, also needs catalists that never serve any other purposes and usually sit dead in the hand. Of course HERO monsters are an exception, having the most genericly laughable materials around. They overdid it on how specific Fusions usually are. The first Fusions are.... it's like they experimented with it to see how it'd turn out, without any playtesting prior to release. I mean, who would ever use Polymerization to Summon "The Fusionist" and not just be loling around? Their need of that catalyst hurts them badly at times. Tuners are the catalyst of Synchros, but also serve as their Materials, but not ANY materials can be catalysts, which makes Synchros a more refined version of the mechanic. Rituals are farther behind design-wise though.

Thomas★Zero
If at some point Konami tries to redeem fusions as a general they may try a few things... 1. make Fusions have more easier material requirements like 2 Fire Attribute Beast Warrior type monsters for Fire Star Monsters or 2 Sea-Serpent monsters for Atlanteans. 2. Make a new Polymerization (Where it still list itself as a polymerization in terms of the law of 3 claus) where its effect, after fusion summoning lets you draw 1 card so it becomes a -1 instead. 3. Make it so these fusion monsters have decent effects for some of the more specific materials... I mean Konami did try this with ritual's with cards like Advanced Ritual art and the Ghiski Series in the past. Still Super Polymerization does work well as quick play spell which can steal an opponents monster for a fusion aswell.
