Depth Amulet

Recommended Posts

Okay I recently discovered this trap and have found that it has excellent synergy with Fabled's and Dark Worlds. Although I feel it could also have a place in decks needing cards in the grave also. Discuss.

Barthandelus sums it up. It used to be a staple in old Dark Worlds, and was probably made to support Infernities with their hand-dropping
Only problem these days is the backrow hate with three MST, Heavy Storm, three Ryko, etc., that it usually doesn't last long enough to make a huge difference.
And these days, unfortunately, there are better things to run.

Also, this is relevant:

MY LEGACY BEGAN IN THE YOUR DECK SECTION!

... And then my babies were put down for the final count in September.

This thing is slow and why would I ever want to summon all my fabled on my opponent's turn?

The funny part is how, while saying Fableds could use this, you also admit they wouldn't want to, thus proving that discard=/=fabled

This is a very interesting card, but the harsh truth is that there are better cards to protect yourself.

Why do you want to take off advantage on individual attacks without repercussions on your opponent, when other cards protect you the whole turn?
Even the decks for which it is not a cost, they prefer to move offensively, so you'll rarely find people discarding on the opponent's turn to bring temporary walls, but rather on their own turn to make sizable agressive plays.

Discard Sillva or Grapha. You get to either destroy one card and then probably summon a beatstick next turn or automatically summon a mild beatstick. I admit that it is generally better to cause damage to your opponent but I feel that this card hasn't been given the credit its due as far as playability. I like that every time my opponent attacks I can quite possibly grapha them or summon a new monster.

It'll get destroyed before it even has the chance to destroy itself during the 3rd turn.

Well, we've already talked about Dark Worlds and Fableds. So I guess I'll toss in...

DANDYLION

So far though I have at least managed to get two turns out of it in my deck and it has been quite useful during those turns. Depends on draws though. I never thought of using Dandy with it...

Smog is a better Continuous Trap.

I'm not familiar with that card can you post a link for it? Is Smog better in conjunction with cards like DW, Fabled and Dandy?

Depth Amulet is s*** in Fableds and Dark Worlds. -1 attack stopping, even when augmented, isn't worth it at all, especially when it'll explode anyways and result in more negging, unless they MST it. It's even worse in Fableds than Dark Worlds.

Smog's a side card in DW, last I heard, and is bad in Fabled.

No pic but it's basically once per turn discard and banish one card in either Graveyard.

No it doesn't. Depth Amulet's one of those cards that looks appealing to bad players, but is never going to realistically be good, at all. If you're discarding Fableds during the Opponent's turn, you're doing it really wrong. If you want to do such in Dark Worlds for some reason, Chainability > Stopping an attack.
