Kyng's Old Account
Shuckle, with a truck ton of effort, can deal the greatest amount of damage, that being 481,266,036 Yugioh has Exodia.

Cin
A little bit of clarity on topic would be a good thing. If it wasn't for their respective card games and video games I'd have moved to Anime/Manga.
EPTinYugi
I think he means which is better franchise, though he's not being clear. I could as well separate it by different medias for what I like: Anime: this is probably a tie but I would tilt towards Yugioh, better action. Trading cards: Yugioh. Pokemon tcg never really suited me. Yugioh can be much more diverse than Pokemon. Manga: Pokemon Mangas do have a much more exciting story than some of the mangas from Yugioh. Video games: This is what made Pokemon, their games, for me, are what I find more fun. So I call it a tie between the two, at least for me. Cin
If we're going to go that way it's very much down to opinion for me: Games : Pokemon, I've only played Forbidden Memories and Stairway To The Destined Duel compared to more or less all main Pokemon games (Obv main means those for the Handheld consoles and not Mystery Dungeon, etc. Anime: Yu-Gi-Oh. I owe it alot basically. Plus Season 0 owns anything Pokemon could ever do. Manga: Pokemon although I really enjoyed Millennium World and Yu-Gi-Oh. (Not so much Duelist, R, GX or 5Ds (So far)) TCG: Never really played either although I collected the Pokemon cards to Expedition.
WhyDidIJoinThis-.-
Anime: Eh, 'tis hard because I prefer the first seasons of both to the newer seasons, but I suppose Pokémon. Trading cards: Yugioh, never done pokemon tcg much. Video games: Pokémon. I think overall I prefer Pokémon. One of the things I like about Yugioh anime was the main characters from season 0 and the storyline, but them feels in Pokémon when someone says goodbye to a Pokémon and releases it, but I'm not denying Yugioh's feelz, I just feelz Pokémon more. ;~;
Catterjune
Anime: Eh, Pokemon's lasted longer though it's gotten stale. Then again, Yu-Gi-Ohs of "protagonist always wins" plot isn't that great either. I'll give a slight edge to Yu-Gi-Oh for showing at least some variety.Manga: Never read either, because I can't read. I'll call it a tie, or a reverse tie, or some other thing.TCG: Yu-Gi-Oh by a country mile. It's probably like... a legitimately worse game if you take parts individually, but here I think the sum of the parts just make it ultimately more fun.Video game: Pokemon, by a huge majority. Yu-Gi-Oh video games all rely entirely on the TCG's mechanics and the Anime's storyline. Pokemon's... pretty much idenitical each time but the mechanics are much simpler to grasp and much more fun.Winner? IDK. They're both fine. Tentacruel
One's a tabletop game and one's a handheld RPG. Overall I'd say Pokemon has the edge, if only because it's slightly less broken.
ihop
Undeniably Yugioh has a better TCG and pokemon has better video games, and atm I'm enjoying pokemon more especially due to the speculation and looking forward to X/Y.
Squirrel Girl
Anime: I would say Yu-Gi-Oh. Never liked Pokemon anime that much. Waaaaaay tooooo boring for me. Love the main characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh franshice. They change for each different show. Never liked Jaden though. TCG: Never been a fan of Pokemon TCG. Haf to go with Yu-Gi-Oh on this one. Manga: Never read any, so I haf to give them a tie. Games: Pokemon by far. Though, never played Yu-Gi-Oh so cant say for certain. Overall, Yugioh takes the win. Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
Anime: Yugioh for this one. TCG: Tie. Both have their ups and downs. Games: Pokemon for sure Manga: Yugioh. Never read much of the manga for Pokemon, In general, both have their ups and downs.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Anime: Though both of their plots are getting repetitive after a while, I guess I'll have to go with Yugioh for being a bit more consistent (at least there are different protagonists for each season/generation instead of watching Ash for 16-17 generations not aging); though I'm not exactly fond of the current one TCG: Can't answer this one since I haven't played Pokemon TCG Games: Pokemon; though Yugioh does have its meritable games, if few. Manga: I'd probably say it's a tie in this category So overall, they're both good in their own right but not enough to be classified as superior over the other. Squirrel Girl
Well, what bothers me is that over the last 16-17 seasons of Pokemon, Ash hasn't aged a bit. That's just f***ed up imo. He should atleast be 6+ years older from first to last anime season. Besides, like Yu-Gi-Oh, they should change the protagonist each region. Yu-Gi-Oh has had some reallllllly bad protagonists, like Jaden (imo cause I hate him). That draged it down a bit but not so much so it wouldn't beat Pokemon (in terms of how good the animes are). Airride
Anime: Pokemon due to influence as a kid. don't like either of them currently, but it's still fun to rewatch Pokemon. Manga: Never read the YGO manga but I really like adventures, so Pokemon. TCG: Pokemon because it's not-$100 for a super undermeta deck because of extra deck shit. Games: Pokemon, clearly. why am i still here and not at a pokemon forum
Sleepy
Videogames: I've never played any Yugioh ones outside of some friend letting me do some puzzle, but still come on! It's Pokemon. Pokemon's games MADE Pokemon. The mechanics are repetitive yes, but things get updated with every generation, it's not like it's just an exact copy either. TCG:Yugioh. Pokemon is more balanced and is surprisingly fun to play, but Yugioh has more room to explore, more potential, and even if most available plays are horribly bad and outdated, it's fun. Plus, Pokemon TCG didn't really appeal to me until the HGSS era when I didn't see as much CG art or plastic figures as the illustrations, but actual alluring art. Anime: Simple. I was a fan of Pokemon when it got to my country. Even as a 9 year old, I realized how uneventful it was and stopped really caring for the show after Ash lost the first League. Plus not aging, never advancing much on relationships, and Team Rocket getting more and more pathetic with time. Yugioh is full of holes and absurd things, but at least the action is better, time moves, actual trouble appears, and the duels from GX and DM were always fun to watch. I'd say Yugioh. Manga: Yugioh, Yugioh Duelist, and Yugioh Millenium World I enjoyed. GX and 5Ds have aspects I really can't stand. Pokemon Adventures is great. Save for a couple things that just sound so stupid like "the evil gym leaders" or Lance wanting world domination. However, I still consider it the better manga here. Sooooo.... Anime: Yugioh Manga: Pokemon TCG: Yugioh Games: Pokemon Let's call it a tie.
~British Soul~
Anime: It has to be Yugioh, because of the "Ash hasn't aged in 16 seasons" BS, and at times the Yugioh anime does have some really cool scenes. TCG: I haven't played the Pokémon TCG much (if at all), but I'd have to go with Yugioh since I'm not a fan of set rotation formats. Manga: It has to be Pokémon by a country mile, specifically Pokémon Adventures. At least with Pokémon Adventures, the characters age as well as getting development, and the plot is somewhat similar to the plot of the games, only with a lot more action and plot-twists. Games: I'd have to go with Pokémon because the games get better with each passing generation and I kinda grew up with the Pokémon games, not to mention I haven't played that many Yugioh games tbh. Overall, it's a tie, 2-2.
Fusion X. Denver
See, I would actually go with YGO for the first 3 categories (though the mangas are pretty close to me IMO), but I love the Pokémon games much more than either of the mangas, animes or TCGs, so...I guess I'm also a tie, but I'd say I'd rather have Pokémon in my life over YGO.
