I hear ignorant people looping all of the gamers under one category and it ticks me off.

Anime too.

Examples: Classifying COD players as all FPS players. Saying people who play Candy Crush play video games. Anime is all boobs and porn (I agree with this one)

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

This happens with everything. The basis of sterotyping, racism, sexism, etc.

?????????????????????????????????!!!!???!?!??!

Speaking of phone games...

Yeah, I thought this was going to be awkward.

Consoles and Handhelds You Own: Most used: PS3, 3DS - Sometimes used: Wii U, Wii, GBA - Ignored: DS Lite, NES

I might as well mention I used to have a Playstation but I don't know where it is and don't care because I can use my PS3.
Favorite Video Games: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

So close...

I don't get games too often because I take too long to complete them anyways. The most games I have gotten in one buying was 4.

I've probably had Kingdoms of Amalur for two years now and still haven't finished it. That's true for a lot of games though.

I had a game of that and Dragon's Dogma going for a while, but I got stuck and ended up abandoning them both and deleting them. They're both amazing games, but I just... no.

Which part were you stuck on? Last time I played (Like two weeks ago because I play everything in occasional bursts) I seemed to be on the final quest.

And yeah, the game is really good. Both of them. Dragon's Dogma is probably the game with possibly the largest amount of game mechanics I've ever seen. It admittedly does have a few problems but does so much so well.

If I recall correctly: In Dogma, I was stuck in an area where you enter some sort of dungeon behind a set of bars. As for Amalur, I couldn't get passed this battle with a Dwarven spellcaster which I don't recall the name of. That's all I can think about.

That Hydra glitched like a f*cking VHS tape.

I think I remember that. You just need to look around for a switch. Explore the map. Look at the map because I think it shows you all the switches you've walked by.

As for Amalur, really? I remember the fight. He's not that easy I'll give you that. Gotta get good at blocking. Doing more quests to rack up experience should have done it for ya.

Ouch. I've yet to get any such glitch that severe.

I think it was more of an issue with enemies then it was with level navigation.

I was using a magic user, so shields weren't much of an option. If there was, then I was too short-sighted to know.

Every time I hit one of their heads, it clipped for like a full second and then clipped back. I was playing it with a strict mindset at the time, so it really stood out to me.

Too hard or something?

Talismans are the sorcery focused shields and are much better at blocking elemental damage.

Ouch. I'm not going to act surprised though. I know the game needs some fine tuning.

So I'm curious: What were y'all's first gaming moments that you remember?

For me I'm juggling between watching my cousin play Super Mario World on the SNES and some of my parents' friends' kids playing Starfox 64.

First time I've ever actually played a game was in Preschool: Crash Bandicoot 1 and Moto Racer, both on the PS1.

This is very generic of me, but the first video game moments I remember are playing Super Mario as a family. I think it was on SNES, but we lost that (somehow) way before we lost our PS1.

After that, I can't remember if we got that PS1 first or a GBA SP, but the first games I remember playing with both are Spider-Man games. With the PS1 it was actually a couple discs that had a bunch of demos on them but Spider-Man was the first full game I had for that.

If I can try and put my experiences in order:

1. Cousin playing SNES (Super Mario World)

2. Nintendo 64 at Parents' friends' house (Starfox 64)

3. PS1 at preschool (Crash Bandicoot and Moto Racer)

4. PS1 as a reward for being good in school for 100 days (Hercules, Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing, Namco Museum 3)

5. PS1 and 64 at neighbor's house (Crash Team Racing, Crash Bash, Pokemon Stadium, Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64)

5. Everything leading up to today.
