It's got Castor/Pollux clause going for it and allows decks for more open play extensions, extremely so when you consider that Konami are pushing Tribute Summoning a bunch. You get to Shield and Sword opponent monsters every turn and even though the Pendulum Scales are pretty lame looking at how everything will be revolving around Scale 4 and very little to the sides, but it's still lulzy. Sleepy Posted March 16, 2014 Report Share Posted March 16, 2014 Just came to mind, I wasn't looking at them individually before but only as they'd be when used together. Unexpectoad seems like a solid tool for Frogs, which ofter have 2000 DEF monsters and can jump to 3200 ATK with this and Wetlands. They can get some pretty wild raw power on top of their already easy swarms. Plus, Enemy Controller can use it, only to get you to Pendulum Summon it back and re-use it's effect within the same turn. Kaleido Scorpion is more of a casual thing. Special Summons only as part of it's effect makes it somewhat gimmicky and situational so the most you can get out of it is a meatwall that Transmodify/Insect Imitation will bring out, then fodder for Synchros or something. Then looking at hippo it is in fact an amazing card since it can just make one turn Mega Monarchs since its effect allows for an additional tribute summoned for a level 7 or higher monster. Only if the tributed monster was also Tribute Summoned. I was thinking it could even work with a Treeborn Frog variant, though of course that would be more inconsistent. Their are a 1 or 2 others that can get one turn setup's though this that would seem bizarre... I mean something like Hippo into Evil HERO Malicious Edge would seem weird yet somewhat hilarious.
