Just Ignore destinyexodia

Number 2 is ideal.

But really, this is why new people always leave.

It doesnt help that we just encourage terrible posting by giving it attention. Like, if we point out how a person can improve, and they implement it, the whole forum grows. Instead, everyone flames Destinyexodia, which makes him lash out and spam more try-hard posts which then gets more flames....you get the point.

Then we agree.  Constructive criticism is good.  Flaming is not.

Ideally, number 2 should happen.

If he starts to improve, then we might actually get respect for him.

Agreeing with the ignoring part as well. We don't pay attention to his posts, which I'm going to admit are getting out of hand (even though we're in the spam section), he'll either stop doing it or improve; especially if he does not wish to incur Yin or Night's wrath once more OR as the first possibility says, he leaves and never returns. We lose another YCMer, but what can we do about it? In either case, #1 is probably going to be dealt with by the mod's hand.

Upon scanning the forum again, he hinted #1 isn't an option but whether or not #2 happens is solely based on how he reacts.

Behind, come on. We need to treat this with care. Yes, if people push him and anger him, he'll most likely leave. Improving his posts would be good also, but at things like this, you can't just force people to do what you want. You have to treat them equal and get to know their problems and why they want to leave or feel like he should. You really have to talk to the person to get to know them. Don't judge a book by it's cover. By the looks of it, that might be where will are all still at. We can't yell at him and tell him to leave or something. This is what happened to me. Whta did I do? I apoligized to everyone and started anew. That's what destiny is going to go through, unless we just tell him to leave and never return. If he truly wants to leave and we really can't help him anymore, it's his call. Either leave and not have to face this problem, or stay and conquer it. And start anew.

You can always use the Ignore function in User CP if anyone gets annoying.
It may prove easier to do so than trying to avoid reading their content.

Just hoping he reads the advice coolspy gave him in that other thread and starts to shape up.

So that's what the ignore button does.

  • 1 year later...

Nah, coolspy didn't go into TCG.

Basically, it involved him stirring up a ton of drama in other sections, then devolving to making inappropriate comments towards other members.

Through a good amount of sanctions from the staff at the time, he shaped up...for a while.

----

I forgot the rest though, but know that he was banned near the end of July last year.

I'm such a poor lurker, so I don't know much about what he has done. Can anyone care to explain to me his sins?

I know that he made a card contest at one point and wanted half of the entry fees for himself, which a few members objected to.

He changed it eventually though, but that's a minor detail.

He did a good amount of spamming on YCM, hence leading to multiple spam warns during the course of his stay.

That, and being a general annoyance to some members.

He made a topic about his rep counter being inflated to whatever number they were (probably 9000 or something), and no one cared.

Sometime in early 2014, he made a few hate threads towards the mod team at the time.

It was enough to warrant one or two suspensions.

He also made a few inappropriate comments; some of which were of a sexual nature.

There was a particular comment that led to his permanent banning in late July, coupled with other behavior.

I don't remember if it was coolspy or destinyexodia that this analogy was made towards, but reading back on stuff, it was comparable to how Striker was in 2010-2011. (Just so we're clear, I don't know how Striker acted back then, even though I was around at that time.)

He did improve over time and tried to make amends though, but eventually it slipped and culminating with behavior beforehand, he was axed.

You can probably get a more thorough read of his actions through his content page, but this is pretty much a summary.

(Should be able to view stuff with this link)
