evilfusion
I remember watching the prices of the DUEA cards for the first week or so after release. This thing's price skyrocketed from about $20 to like...$60. It's the most expensive card in the set. It's also the only Burning Abyss card at the moment that's pricey. Darj
Its DEF is really high for a Rank 3; not even Defensive Rank 4s like Maestroke or Tsukuyomi have that much DEF.

Darj
@Dyson: I wouldn't call Krab King a defensive Xyz when it can beat things with its 3000-ATK, unlike Maestroke and Tsukuyomi whose highest stat is DEF. Yes, Maestroke can flip monsters to defense a get over them if they have 1700 or less DEF, but that leaves it on its more vulnerable ATK Position. heraldry_lord
what is this usually played with, just to ask, deckwise. I got some idea, but i feel I'm missing something obvious It's used with Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force to go into Pleiades. That's not the only thing it does, but you asked what it's played with. It can also be a LIGHT monster for BLS/Chaos Sorcerer. EDIT: If you mean which deck it's played in, it's only Burning Abyss at the moment.

goddamnit names are a pain
I don't know if I hate this card or Scarm more. That price though This deck just won't die fast enough. It's funny, considering how many better decks there are that are out there. Then again, they take a whole hell of a lot more thinking. This starts to just be the same pattern, every duel, every turn. The Warden
Scarm and this bad boy were the answer to my prayers. And because of this blessing Rank 3 AF can actually be a very viable deck. I praise Konami for the ability to generate 3 Mat Pleiades. PRAISE KONAMI!

Sleepy
Scarm and this bad boy were the answer to my prayers. And because of this blessing Rank 3 AF can actually be a very viable deck. I praise Konami for the ability to generate 3 Mat Pleiades. PRAISE KONAMI! A 3 material Pleiades that also gives you something with every detach it makes. It sounds like a pretty insane boost for the already disruptive Pleiades... On a more fun note, they can also go for Volca and C69 with Astral Force. Not that those would be better, but just a possibility.
The Warden
They can go into Digvorzhak, Tiras, Durendal, Volca, C69, Pleaides, C39 V/ictory and Adreus with AF.
Blake
The most relevant targets for Astral Force are Pleiades, Volcasaurus, Tiras, Bram, and sometimes Durendal. Pleiades is a stupidly good card you make with a good rank 3. Volva is good enough running 1 Grenosaurus. Tiras is still a really strong card. Immunity to destruction and popping cards can really corner the opp. Bram is made with the best Rank 3. Ghostrick Alucard. The fact that you should run 2 Alucard is reason enough to run a decent upgrade that can help you recycle each other faster. Durendal is made off a good card... That is ran at 1 and feels kinda overkill.
The Warden
Actually, I'll be honest: Bram and Tiras feel like they're losing power to me. When you look at what Bram can take, it feels like slim pickings at time. El Shaddolls are just beneficial to your opponent since your opponent can just destroy them for a free grab at their S/T, plus Midrash won't stop them make Fusions. You will almost never find a Qliphort in the grave, and even if you do its destruction gets it the the Extra. Sats, well, the only one worth summoning is Alsahm for the burn. And let's not forget that there isn't a single thing in the Yang Zing Graveyard that won't hurt you by merely summoning the card. So unless you're facing a scrubby deck, sometimes it just doesn't even feel worth making Bram. And with Tiras, well, he can still get run over sadly; but my main issue is because Castel and 101 are cards. Pre-Them, he was indeed quite a strong card because his only real threats were stronger monsters and Compuls. But with such easy access to Castel and 101 I am pretty hesitant to use him. I'm not saying they're bad, but just that their utility has dwindled significantly when it would be easier to make Volc or Pleaides and just go nuts. I will give one thing to Bram: Due to the resurgence of Synchros, he can at least steal Goyos.
玄魔の王
Actually, I'll be honest: Bram and Tiras feel like they're losing power to me. When you look at what Bram can take, it feels like slim pickings at time. Bram also has the tendency to plain not die, and Tiras also pops things. That said, yeah, Pleiades and Volca run the show for Rank 5s.
