(had to watch it without subtitles, couldn't understand jack shit as far as dialogue) He also started the episode flashbacking about Akaba Reiji, the man that did every Extra Deck Summon in 1 turn, then shocked everyone with Pendulum Summoning the next. Safe bet Beast-eyes will come out because inspiration combined with Yuya's Millenium Puzzle Emperor's Key magical Pendulum necklace shining again. Not sack this itself off the bat (though it's not THAT bad considering it gets what is apparently a 3K beatstick that can chip burn), but to use it to get 2 more then spit this and an Odd-Eyes from hand/ED out to get over most other beaters. Then if you had Odd-Eyes out already, and a Performapal Silver Claw (wolf) in ED, you can get 2 more of it, sack Odd-Eyes and Wolf for BEPD, then pendulum back this guy + Wolf + OEPD. You can even make a Rank 4 after it. Just my 2 cents on what I think the design was intended to do. Also, even though it's almost a vanilla in a lot of cases given the Beast-type Pendulums we have so far (not worth it outside of them, honestly), chip burn does win games. Understanding his companion's feelings, Yuya chases Odd-Eyes into space on Hip Hippo. Shouting the command "LIMIT OVER PENDULUM FUSION CHANGE!", Yuya turns gold. Then, in a miracle, Odd-Eyes and Hip Hippo will fuse into Beast-Eyes, and Yuya will ride Beast-Eyes back to Earth, the clouds parting so they may properly mire at the insanity they have just witnessed. Sleepy Posted September 5, 2014 Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 I'm a little bit disappointed in this card. They are already making this be a Dragon-Type Fusion. They are already giving it more generic materials. They are already doing the above during a time the materials can come from the existence of Pendulum Summon, making what would otherwise be a cost, be just a 1 turn delay on the monsters, and not even in all scenarios. So why did they also need to neg the need for Polymerization? Speaking from the fanboy inside me, I want good old Poly to become decent, and when Fusions themselves start creating the potential for that, they stop needing it? and "Tribute" sounds odd to me since Fusions usually "send to the Graveyard", not gonna say much more about that one though. That's about all I have to say about the card.... I'm personally kind of tired of Odd Eyes in the anime.... Might be just me, but I've been having this feeling that despite the variety of monsters and cards Yuya pulls out, it's just "massive multi-attack with extra damage for game", and it coming back effortlessly each time also doesn't help much.... or not using other scales at all..... among other things that are probably better off said at the anime thread, so for now just Odd Eyes... I hope Odd-Eyes can bring something more interesting to the table in the future. That said, the Fusion could very well be made with that fire lion whose name I forgot that was used against Reiji, or Cheermole....... or the Hippo.... EDIT: Effect and stats are slightly different in the link. Also, Yuya should Pendulum Summon Odd-Eyes, Des Kanguroo, and the Dark Hex-Sealed Fusion. That should make a fun attack. Neutrality Man Posted September 5, 2014 Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 Since the Dragon material's powers don't matter at all, I say the optimal choice to splash in for Beast-Eye material would be Axe Dragonute. 2000/1200 Level 4 that switches to DEF position after it attacks. As a Level 4 it's never going to be dead in your hand, and the stats make it a good offense. When you opponent murders it from the DEF pos effect, it's still in position for Dragon's Mirroring after the aforementioned Gale Dogra'd Master of Oz.
